Howdy
I've been looking since Jan. for a trailer and finally found one at a price I could afford and not much work to be done.
I too will be traveling with either 2 cats & a dog or 3 cats. I also have been working in rescue for many years. But now I will be full timing it and switching from fostering to transporting.
I already have a bucket list that I add to almost on a daily basis. So I pretty much know where I'll be and where I will be going and what roads I will be traveling.
It's not something I had ever planned to do. But one can't live very well on disability. I've been existing. Not living. It's also unfortunate that I need to leave my home. There's plenty of room here to foster cats. I am one of only two cat fosters in the area. Which sucks.
But I also know the difficulties in finding transport to get a cat from point A to point B at a reasonable rate. This will help me put gas into my vehicle.
Don't be too quick to purchase the first trailer you see. Figure out what you can live without (stove, shower, etc) and what you can't live without (stove, shower, etc)
So while you save up the money to purchase your camper, research places you'd like to visit and how you'll get there.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the things you did do
