I really like that pattern. Looks very nice. It's easy to see the dog rules that home.

He sure does, 'cause now I have to go back to Walmarts and buy a rug. The indoor/outdoor carpeting is too hard on his tender little bones.

Love the new look;you did a great job of it.
If you pass a Big Lots, they sometimes have very good buys on dog beds. Bogie would love that, I think.

I also noticed the missing vent cover. From what I know about furnace systems...if you run the furnace with the vent blocked it can cause back pressure in the furnace and can badly damage the fan and possibly make it not vent or draw air correctly. I am assuming you have more than one vent. Shutting just one vent might be ok just monitor your furnace's operation.

Sparkle,
Remember that rv seminar I went to? Well, one thing mentioned - was to NOT block any vents - EVER. It was brought up because some people will block them with furniture or whatever, thinking they don't mind a colder bathroom or bedroom- and it will save them money - and it burns out the furnace. It needs the open air space around it.

So - while it looks awesome - and I'm jealous - cut out that spot for the vent, please. I don't want to see you in trouble with a fire or a bad furnace.

Temporary solution to the vent in the floor. When I'm hooked up to shore power I usually use a couple of electric heaters. When I'm bookdocking I USUALLY am in a warmer clime and don't need heat. I emphasize usually, because I'm in Florida and the Propane has been pumping out heat like crazy. So, solution? Flip back the carpet at that corner and let 'er rip! I guess I could cut a hole, ya think?

If you use it rarely, go ahead and flip it back. That way you have an attractive, unfrayed carpet the rest of the time.

Sparkle, you mentioned having to get a dog bed to soften the floor? Does that mean you have dogs that sleep on the floor?... How novel! Herschel is still rolling on the couch over that one. It isn't as if he would roll on the floor or something :) (Actually I found some very thick, very washable, fuzzy children's sleeping bags about 2ftx4ft at my local Goodwill...he seems to think they are super)

Sparkle,
Don't worry about the blue language around me. I was an adult before I realized you could fix things without cussing at them. Dad cussed everything together. BUT I never heard him say the F word. So out side of THAT word, let her rip!

Orchid, the only time I use that word is either as a joke - shock value - or when I hit my head. When my son was 2 and repeating everything I said I hit my head hard on the car as I was getting in. Well there David let her rip. I said, No, that wasn't what Mummy said. You know, ducks go Quack Quack. It worked!
I don't need a dog bed, I already have two, a queen size one in the bedroom and a sofa bed. He just wasn't comfortable when he WAS on the floor. so I bought him a rug. Now he's happy on the couch again.

I know I've been slow to post, and trying to play a little catch up here and there. (Mom's here staying with us for 5 weeks, my younger brother just came to town on Sunday, my older brother is coming this weekend, and my son is home from the Navy - soooooo all this and with work...I'm running ragged) BUT, wanted to comment on the lovely job you did. Certainly like the pattern. Agree with the boring color patterns (or lack thereof) of most of the RVs. I think they go for the neutral tones, as anything will go with them, and it wouldn't be as cost effective to do something that took some brain power in the way of color coordination/schemes. Easier to push Blah so people can go Ahhhhhhhh I can do this and that and.... rather than take a chance with creativity and people go Oh My God look at THAT! ;0 ) lol
In any event...Sparkle you did a bang up job. The things ya do for the fur babies. ;) LOL :D Gotta luv em.
