I do have a pineapple slicer/corer gadget. Maybe I will buy a fresh pineapple and try that. I don't care for the pineapple and/or juice in a can anyways. I could eat fresh pineapple all day!

What a two days off. Yesterday I got to meet up with one of my bestest friends from h.s. and her husband. We talked and talked and ate and ate and talked more lol. After dinner we went to a "saloon" where her husband abandoned us - I think for his own sake - while she and I sat outside and talked more. Every time we get together, even after years, it's like we were never apart. We were going to attempt to meet for dinner tonight, but both they and I got too involved to get it done.

Today, Peaches and I went to Badlands National Park. Just finished sorting pictures, but my eyes are exhausted, so no blog post yet - maybe tomorrow before work. What an awesome place - and I barely saw it - will be going back and spending at least one more day there.

So very much to see in this part of SD - and the Badlands I'd never been to before. How and why did they get skipped, I'll never know. A must see place!

I picked a good day to go to Sam's. It was storming but I managed to get in and out between showers. I got a pork roast to try to make pulled pork. All the roasts at Sam's are large and the one I got is 7 lbs. I have never made it before and I hope it's good. I will have to freeze part of it to take camping. When I got back to Abbeville I made a quick trip to Walmart. I am always afraid they will make us leave our baskets and get out of the store if the electricity goes off. I was zooming around there. I don't know how much more rain we will get but there is a lot in the gulf headed this way.

((((HUGS))) to you Sheila. I know how much you miss him. You've come a long way in the last 2 years and you should be very proud of yourself - I'm sure he is. Stay strong my friend. I admire you so.

7499th post on this thread! And 500 pages! Fire's been a burnin' for a long time!

Long day! After work, I went to the old apt to meet up with my friend Steve who was picking up some things I had left there that he wanted. Also Coco's owner was coming by to pick up his cage. Well, they didn't show up for quite awhile, so I started cleaning the bathroom and then started on the kitchen. By the time they showed up, I had everything but the floors cleaned.

I had Steve help me put my car top carrier on my Jeep only to find out it doesn't work on there. It is too small for the Jeep, so we put it inside my Jeep. Now I will have to sell it since I have no use for it. Had to bring it to my dad's tonight since I have no place to keep it right now at the new place.

So I will finish cleaning the floors tomorrow after work and will finally be done with that place! Yay! :D Then I can concentrate on getting unpacked in the new place! Yay! :D

Off to bed now...nighty night!
