Been busy here at Mesa Verde, most of it having nothing to do with the national park. Got a new mobile hotspot and new phone yesterday, which took two hours in the little nearby town. Then today went back to try to get my photos transferred, dropped off 7 prescriptions at Walgreen's, ate lunch at Denny's, then went back for prescriptions, picked up phones, and came home to campground. (It takes so much longer when you have to drive around a big vehicle, but that is my tradeoff for not towing. Had to circle several blocks to find places to park for all of these things.)
Lesson learned - don't leave electronics in the hot sun. My mobile hotspot has been acting funny lately, but I think I did it in leaving it velcroed to my window in the sun. Anyway, since contract was up, I got a good deal on both, but what a bother to set things up the way you like them!!
Then, I had been using a small diameter, curly hose to flush my toilet, which I think is not very effective. Last week I bought a newer, 15' long, bigger diameter one last week. (No-no using water hose.) So, since I have full hookups here, I got out and set up sewer connection, hooked up new hose and flushed black tank like crazy! I could tell by the sound that there was more flow, so let it go for a while. It cleaned up some sensors, and the odor problem I have been having lately has apparently been solved. Yea!
I still have not been able to find Calgon water softener. I have asked at three Wal-Mart's and two Lowes and they act like I am nuts. (They try to sell me fabric softener or salt for a water softener.) Does anyone know who might reliably carry it? It is supposed to keep the tank cleaner.
