What's happening with me!!

Well, I am in Palm Desert Arizona right now. We got here Wednesday and spent a couple nights with some friends. Cindy gave Bash and I the grand tour of Palm Springs yesterday and we got to see where a lot of the stars live/lived. Then we had lunch at Hamburger Mary's which was nice and fun. Cindy's husband was a master chef in the Navy and does all the cooking. He has been spoiling us with his cooking. Bash and I are headed for San Diego this weekend. We will leave some time this morning and meet up with Laura at an RVW gtg. We aren't going to the gtg to stay but we will crash it for awhile. We will know some of the gals besides Laura from the RVW convention. Then we are heading to the coast and will drive to San Diego going down the coast-line. I am anxious to see the ocean again. We will head back to Apache Junction on Monday or Tues.

The 8th, I am going to have to fly to Texas and it looks like I am going to have to stay with my sis for 4-5 weeks, Then I will probably fly back to Az. and help Bash load up, get the rv ready for the summer and then drive back to Tn. We also want to take a couple days and go to the Grand Canyon. That is what I am up too. Glad you gals are keeping the campfire going. I am so far behind on posts!!!

You will need to get back to TN just to take a vacation!!!! LOL

Sounds like your having a grand time out there. Have more of it, with lots of good times. Here's to hoping that your sister will doing well when you get there.

Thanks for checking in with us and giving and update. Sounds like you are going/are to be busy in the next few weeks. Hope your trip to TX finds your sis doing a lot better. Have fun at the Grand Canyon and be sure to go into Sedona for a red rock fix. Soak your feet over at Cathedral Rock and let all your stressors go down stream and get reenergized by that vortex out by the rock. Have fun, tell Bash hello.

Fernie, remember the North Rim doesn't open the road until the 15th of May. No matter what the weather.
Echo, you will need to either call the Lodge first and get the code for the gate, or stop at the Ranger Station on the way out of Fredonia. Nearly forgot about that.

Gosh Fernie, sounds to me like you have way to much going on in such a short span of time. Hope you have a good time though.

Also hope Your Sis in Texas won't need you to stay so long, that she will be doing better then expected when you get there.

Enjoy the ocean. I saw the Atlantic last week, which I haven't in several years and ole was soooo goood !!!

Fernie,you sure are one busy woman! Sounds like you and Bash are having a good time. Hope to see you again when you return to TN. Don't come home yet though - today is cold and rainy and dreary and tonight we are getting snow.

Bash and I just got home from our trip yesterday evening. We spent two nights in Palm Desert. Cindy, my friend, had a map of the old stars homes in Palm Springs and gave us a tour Thursday. We ate lunch at a place called Hamburger Mary's which was fun. Joe was a master cook in the Navy and fed us at home!! WOW--can that man cook!! HA Cindy is one lucky gal!! We met Laura which some of you have chatted with in the past and spent an hour or so with her. Then we headed to San Diego. We spent Saturday downtown and driving around the bay. Headed out Sat. evening and drove in here to AJ yesterday. We saw the sand dunes where Sharon plays and wondered if she was there!!

Geee---you told me too late Margie. I changed my plans a little and I am flying back to Tennessee Tues. to spray the fruit trees etc. which I need to do before they leaf out. Last year is the first year they had fruit and they hadn't been sprayed. I am going to do a few things I have to do at home then head out in the car for Texas Saturday. I decided I had no choice but to go get the car so I had wheels in Texas. It is an older car and I sure hate to start out in it and drive it that far but the alternative is renting a car for 4-5 weeks in Texas and I sure can't afford that. Mary has at least one Dr. visit a week so a car isn't an option. Some folks had offered the use of an older truck they have but Mary can't get in that.

I am not looking forward to going to Texas. The real bright spot is going to Wiley Opry on Saturday night. They have a pretty good show and that will be my get-a-way. Hopefully by the end of April Mary will be able to be on her own. She will have to make alternate plans if she isn't. My brother and I hare sharing helping her till then but we are both obligated elsewhere after that. I have to be back here in Az. by the 21st to help Bash load up and drive back to Tennessee. Lloyd has a cruise scheduled the first of May and could stay till the 25th of April. Don't know what she is going to do. She needs to be in some type of assissted living but won't consider it. Say a few prayers for us!! I need patience!! HA HA

Nope Fernie, wasn't there, we were up in Johnson Valley playing in the rocks for the King of the Hammers race. Aren't those sand dunes just awesome? Sounds like you had a good trip, but sorry about the on going health problems with your sister. Hope things work out for you and for her. Travel safe.
