G'morning all! :)

Doesn't seem that early, but guess I'm here before anyone else??? A beautiful morning, & just may take the day off from all yard work--well, except to mow

I too didn't realize you got a new rig, Tina??? Where have I been? Almost was in Alaska with Anita  Glad to see you check in to let us know how you're doing. Kathleen, you ARE a person that I aspire to get close too--so you're counselor was right on! :D Liz, glad you got a spot at Bryce! How fun to do a ride down into the canyon. Sue, ENJOY your planned trip!! Illinois peoples, sounds like a great mini gtg coming up! :P

Off for more coffee. Sure miss Lori serving up breakfast each morning :( Prayers still with you & your family, Irmi....

Y'all have a great, safe day! 8-)

Good morning Carolb and everyone!

Carolb, there'll be grass cutting going on here today, too, at some point. Tina, did you get a new rig?

Yesterday, the facility where Dad lived held a Memorial Service for the residents there and any family members that wanted to attend. It was very nice. Before that, the family emptied Dad's room and took everything back to his house. Tomorrow morning, his funeral will be at the church he and Mom attended followed by a luncheon for those attending. I want to thank everyone here for your kindness.

I'm off to church in a bit. Since today is the first Sunday in the month, I get to sit in the congregation. I remembered to say Rabbits and hope this will be a better month. Have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning Carolb... it is early for me again thanks to Shadow... who messed with his internal clock?
Started the drops in right eye this morning. Was afraid I would forget but I am marking them on the sheet they gave me. This is way too much fuss. Last coffee until Tuesday for me.
Oh Carolb yes I so enjoy the trials and trails of our forum sisters... they go places I only dream of. Hope you do take a day off. You have been busy all year boosting everyone you visit. time for a rest.
I never remember rabbits. my brain is only wired to say good morning to Shadow...
I bought a new NOAA radio yesterday. It is better than the one I had. That is something everyone should be carrying on their travels. Extra batteries also. Mine is both electric and battery.
My wild wooly hair has been tamed by the beauty shop yesterday morning. It gets so out of control just before time to get it cut. Now I look human again well almost...
Good to see you post Irmi. May these next few days that are full of memories be a calming time for your heart, mind and soul...

Use today wisely it's all you have; yesterday is a memory; tomorrow a dream... KLW[/b][/color]

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! And for those in the Gulf area, it's the beginning of Hurricane season :|

Already seen posts about something forming, it just gets ridiculous. So glad we do have one meteorologist that has a blog and gives real information, not the hyped up version. Real concerns usually don't come up until August and September.

Okay, what's the deal with the rabbit? Is someone roasting Bugs Bunny today?

Grass cutting going on here as well, hopefully I can at least cut before the rain starts.

Irmi prayers being said for you and your family for peace and minds filled with happy memories.

Good morning ladies :D
forgot to say rabbits, even forgot it was Sunday, my mind was thinking it was Monday. :?
For those that are wondering about the rabbits thing....if you say rabbits first thing after you wake up on the first of each
month, hopefully you have good health and fortune all month. I googled "say rabbits" a long time ago and it came up.
My skin cancer screening came out as expected. I have a few spots that need freezing and one that needs biopsy. Will call
Monday and get appt made for that. They also did one of those uv pictures of your face, looks funny all in blue, but
thats a good thing, blue means normal skin.
Got my bottom cabinet under the tv all cleaned out yesterday, lots of old computer stuff thats not even compatible anymore
it got tossed and then got some stuff put away in the available space, my steamer and my wii platform. Will tackle the next
cabinet up and see what else needs tossing. That will give me a place for my cd's and dvd's. After I get that done I can move
the recliner and little table and vacuum real good, scrub the walls in that area and plan new window treatments. I feel like
the livingroom area is coming right along. For once in my life, (well, in a very long time) I actually feel like I'm accomplishing
something instead of just spinning my wheels. :D Thursday or Friday I can get the decking for the deck and I'll be ready to
make arrangments for a second pair of hands to help put it together.
You girls are probably tired of hearing about all this, so guess I'll get on with my day and catch up on posts. Ya'll have a
great day and be safe.

Good morning everyone from warm partly cloudy Central Florida. Only supposed to be in 80s today with small chance of rain. Nice to have door open on RV for awhile this morning.

My sympathy to you, Irmi, on the loss of your father. Praying that you will find peace and comfort with friends and family.

A group of young ladies who will be competing in the Miss Florida pageant this year have been on campus the past few weekends. Watched them go out on the lake and come back in this morning in canoes. The Dreamy Quilters are here this weekend and a planning group for the Wood Turners. They will all leave after lunch today and then it will be just the employees and 2 volunteers on campus till next weekend. Volunteers get to eat in the cafeteria when groups are here so that means no meals after lunch today till dinner on Friday and that means that I will have to (and I can hardly bring myself to type the word) cook. Does heating frozen dinners in the micro count as cooking?

Wishing you all a beautiful Sunday.

I got a hair cut yesterday too. It has been so windy and humid that as soon as I stepped out the door my hair was a fright. A little easier to control now. We have been getting a little rain every day. Yes Bonnie, now the hurricane watch starts. Gives the weather people something else to talk about.

I was trying to remember to say rabbits at midnight but one of the cats turned my computer off so I think I said something else.

We have one of the weather radios that goes off if we have severe weather. The only problem is that after it has gone off 10 times in 15 minutes I turn it off and forget to turn it back on.

The refrigerator in my motorhome needs to be replaced. I have been searching the internet for one that will fit in the space. I'm not going to spend $2,000 to have another rv refrigerator installed. I seldom ever ran it on propane anyway and I don't boondock. I always travel with an ice chest that I use for drinks and as a seat so if I have to camp without electricity I will just use ice. I have camped the last 2 weekends without a refrigerator and we made it.

Better go get my Sunday paper before I have to hang it up to dry.

Ava, thank you for clarifying the rabbit issue, I have NEVER heard that before, but I will make a note of it to say it next month :D

Got the front lawn cut, the back was done Friday, so just need to clean house, study and get ready for a fundraiser tonight. The shelter that I volunteer at is trying to raise funds to build their own shelter instead of renting a warehouse. ARNO started with the intention of being temporary after Hurricane Katrina, but is still around because people much rather a NO KILL shelter, some will say no kill, but turn animals over to another shelter that does. ARNO does not, we have residents that have been there for years.

Martha, I would keep that radio off for the next couple of days, just make sure things are tied down in case a tornado passes. I don't think things will get back to normal summertime weather til Wednesday here, but you are further West, so it could end tomorrow for you.

Fancy, if you have to press a button for something to be heated, we will consider it cooking

Those with pets, check out the new thread I started for summertime pictures of your babies!

Good Morning from the Yukon Territories! The sun is shining - today anyway. I may head on to Kluane National Park while the sun is out tho it will be cold in Kluane for a couple days.

You ladies getting haircuts - I got mine short enough to spike! I said the moose and bear won't mind if it looks funny :) Sharon oughta like it because she didn't like my flat hair. :)

I uttered something after midnight that wasn't rabbits! Didn't even realize how late it was as it was still light out at 10;30. Spent so much time catching up with having Internet last night, I didn't even start on blog.

Ava, love hearing of your progress! Carolb, do you ever slow down? Kathleen, glad life is easier these days.

Thoughts are with you, Irmi during these days.

Everyone have a wonderful day - we can be pretty sure Soos is with the 2 Os

That's my definition of cooking! :D

We had about 4 more inches of rain last night. More coming soon. More tomorrow yet. Probably won't be playing golf tomorrow since I heard that most golf courses around here are flooded and closed.

Been super busy at work the past 3 days! Whew! I am exhausted! Have tomorrow off and plan to get the carpets cleaned and repaired at the old place and then maybe start cleaning the rest of it after that.

I discovered I can't get any TV stations in here at the new place, even with rabbit ears (oh yeah, I forgot to say "rabbits" this morning  ). Anyways...I guess I will have to cave in and get cable TV back. Can't have a 48" TV just sitting here collecting dust!

Had a bit of a meltdown last night. :( I think the stress of being so busy at work, moving, and my dad's issues just got to me. I need to slow down and pace myself a little more. I have so much to do yet, with unpacking, cleaning, getting ready for my camping trip, and trying to deal with my dad... just gets overwhelming.

Gonna stay home tonight and take it easy and watch the storm that is currently approaching...(I enjoy thunderstorms, but heavy downpours make me really anxious for some reason). I do have a Mudslide in my fridge...hmmm... it is about 4 years old. Bought it on my way out to California. Wonder if it is still safe to drink?? (not opened yet).
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
