I have had a heck of a time trying to post. First I couldn't remember my password then because of repeated tries to log on I got locked out. Tried a new log on name but that didn't work because I was still using my only e-mail address. Finally got another e-mail address and new name and I posted but it got lost in cyber space???? We'll see what happens to this post.
I have started my first workamper job in Vallecito, Co. near Durango. I arrived the evening of April 29th and started work (housekeeping) on May 1. We aren't very busy right now but that will change soon. There are many returning workampers here so I thought that was a good thing. Everyone has been so pleasant and helpful. Already I feel I've made some new friends. The trip went without a hitch but I was really nervous at first and kept looking in my rearview mirrow (my entrance is in the back) to see if my car was still there (lol). My cats traveled very well and have adjusted to their new life. My little Rosie likes to go outside on her leash to check things out. My "Boy" however is satisfied looking out the window, screen door or just sleeping. One of the gal's I work with gave me a nice toaster oven that she doesn't use any longer. Haven't cooked anything in it yet. I actually find I don't eat as much here (AMAZING). I joined a gym down in Durango yesterday and have been twice already working out and doing yoga. This has probably been one of the best things I've done for myself in a long time.
I know I've said it before but it bares repeating. Thanks to all of the women that have gone before me and share so openly on this site (and others) about their travels. It is because of you that many of us have been able to carry out that dream of traveling in an rv. My courage has come from your every printed word and I thank you for all the support you give each other. You can find/friend me on Facebook if you like as I am trying to post something weekly about my new life!
