Good Morning to everyone... thank you Cheryl for the reminder of the cost of freedom.

It is different getting used to two dogs. Shadow is so used to me he does what I do; Augie is not and it makes for an interesting mix getting up at 3 to 4 am is not my idea of fun. But all in all it has been a good weekend.

I need to vacuum but no energy to do it. Maybe this oatmeal will do the trick...

Me and My Shadow and Augie hopes everyone has a good day

Good Morning
Hot day in store for the area and the heat is taking a rapid tole on my winter rye in back yard. Soon it will be all gone.

"As you enjoy your freedoms on Memorial Day, please join your fellow Americans at 3:00 p.m. (local time) for the National Moment of Remembrance and solemnly reflect on the deeds and sacrifices of those who fell in battle in the defense of our liberty and our way of life, including privacy. This is not a moment about sadness and grief – rather it is about honor, respect, duty and patriotism. "

Wishing all a safe and pleasant day.

Good morning gals! Summer has finally arrived! Mid 80's and humid today and for the next week or so. I have the AC on in here since I will be doing more sorting and packing all day today. Need to get it all done today and be ready to move on Wednesday (I work all day tomorrow).

Wanted to get to the cemetery this weekend to visit my mom's grave but just haven't been able to fit it in. I am sure she will understand :) Will go later on a quieter day so I can have a little picnic and talk to her like I used to do.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning everyone,

Cool in the KC area this morning - but mugginess is setting in for the week.

I ventured out last night to attend a free concert by the Kansas City Symphony at Union Station.

As darkness falls, they have a light show on the station itself.

People sit on the hill between Union Station & Liberty Memoiral - a tribute to WWI. Cannons & fireworks are set off from the Liberty Memorial.Image

Please note, I 'borrowed' the photos from various websites. ;) but I wanted to share my evening with you all & the pros had better pics than I did.

I hope some of you coming to the Sept GTG in KS will stop by & enjoy Kansas City.
Enjoy today wherever it finds you,

Started out as a nice warm sunny day, but now we are having a loud, long thunderstorm with torrential rains. We sure don't need more rain. The back yard here is flooded again and there is a waterfall coming off the roof of my building, and still raining hard. Sure put the kibosh on boating and picnics this evening. At least it waited until now to hit so most people are home by now.

Got quite a bit done today. The whole kitchen and most of the living room is all packed up and ready to go. One closet and some misc stuff left to sort and pack. Taking a break until the storm is over (enjoying listening to it) before starting in again for a few more hours. I put a large pile of stuff I no longer wanted (mostly kitchen things) by the front door of my building with a "free" sign on it and it was all gone 15 minutes later when I went back down there!

Hope you all had a nice, safe day today. :D
