Sunday Mem Wkend

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday Mem Wkend

G'morning all :)

Got it, OSharon! Thanks:) Yep, I was confused about the "outbox" thing too. Also, I usually don't get back on my computer after I've closed it down in the a.m., thus the delay in getting it....

Much rain overnight & a lovely fog this a.m. But it's to be a perfect 75deg day here, so will be nice for cousin's cookout. Rain held off yesterday, so I started to mow. After only 5 mins, my mower died  Couldn't get it started again, & THEN it started raining. Ha, guess mowing wasn't meant to be.

Hey Ava, so happy you've got your summer off! I've seen the projects you do, so I imagine the deck will be just as nice, especially with a roof for shade...

Just noticed there's a gtg in FL--perfect for all those heading south after the midwest gtg!

Off for more coffee. Where's Lori? We need breakfast  Y'all have a great day, & be safe always 8-)

Good Morning
Been kind of a crazy couple of weeks around here - mostly dealing with recalls. First was on the van. Then the PowerMate flush -- seems it could built enough pressure to explode and shatter porcelain toilets. I have 2 of them and was lucky to get replacement parts quickly along with plumber to replace late last Friday. One recall left is on the tires on Magic. I cannot read all the numbers but those I can read all match the recall. Haven't done anything about this one yet.
Have a friend from SC visiting this week; a short notice visit as something unexpected came up about her mother's estate settlement that required immediate attention. She mentioned needing a hair cut and I'd been thinking about whacking mine off so called older niece (a beautician) for an appointment. Here's the results:
Before cut

About 14 inches of hair to donate

After

Haven't decided if I like the shorter hair or not - probably take me 6 months to learn how to comb it.

I'm off to catch up on some other stuff.. Hope you are having a great holiday weekend.

I like the shorter hair, plus you gave someone struggling through chemo/radiation a chance to have something to make them feel better for a while. Good job.

I'd like to find the pics you posted when I first joined the forum, same - thing - cut-'n-donate!

Isn't that going to be much easier to care for?

I like the shorter hair on you, Sarah, and it should feel much lighter!

I'm attending worship services conducted by Christian Ministries here in Zion park this morning. Should be inspiring worshiping in this cathedral not made by human hands!

Good morning everyone!

Sun is shining here in KS. Loved our nearly constant drizzle of rain yesterday - hope to get more tomorrow or later this week.

Had a good run up to St. Paul, MN last week. On the way home, van stalled out in a construction zone - caused a bit of panic on my part, but it started right back up & finished up the last 150 miles with no issues. Will consult with my bro to see he thinks it was a one-time thing or if I need to take it in. Hopefully he has the equipment to read the codes. Will definitely have it looked at if I decide to go across country later this summer.

Liz, what a majestic place to attend Sunday services.
Sarah, I love the shorter hair.

Hope everyone enjoys this beautiful day!

Good morning, Quiet day so far, today is DH's birthday and I not only remembered (I forgot last year)  but found him a couple of gifts I'd been looking for in time for the day.
Looks like it will be the last fairly cool day for awhile, summer is coming whether I want it or not.
Sarah I really like your hair cut, looks like it will be much easier to care for. I've been growing mine out but I'm feeling tempted to cut it for the summer.

Good sunny morning all. Sarah, love the new "do". Should be easier to manage, I would guess. I told my hairdresser I wanted a cut that would be 5 minutes, start to finish! That's about all the time it takes! CarolB, great! Glad that's figured out! Went to mow the little bit of front yard yesterday and discovered one of the neighbors had already done it! Don't know who but it was appreciated. So went ahead and did the backyard. I decided to hand trim a little bit of the edges and ended up doing about half before the blister on my finger said to stop. Ouch! Need to get some new line for the electric trimmer so I can finish it.

The local newspaper is publishing a supplement tomorrow of the 25 top destinations in PA to visit. Wonder how many I can see? Should be fun to try! Looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

Going to drive down to visit a friend in Bedford area today. Haven't been down for awhile so figured this would be a good day to do it. First have to make mac salad for tomorrow's cook out at son's home. So better get busy. Have a great day, everyone.

Good Morning... wow I am in time for morning... not my choice today but it is what it is... my daughters dog kept barking at 4 am so I got up and let both dogs out... Shadow never goes out at night... when I house broke him it just was one thing I did not take him out at night I do not restrict water either... I had a hard time going back to sleep and did not get up till a little before 9 so no church for me.

This is a perfect weekend weather wise here in Normal... the dogs and I will sit out after a while... poor Augie is so crippled up with old arthur that he cannot walk the trail anymore... Shadow and Augie used to wrestle and play it was so fun but when Augie came over on Friday Shadow started to try to play with him and soon found out it was not going to happen so he is playing with his toys and throwing them up in the air.... Augie just lays by the door...

Oh Sarah what a change! I do not know how you managed your beautiful hair... mine has always been light... yours was not only long but very heavy... enjoy your new do!!.

I do hope everyone is having a good Memorial day weekend... My father was a commissioned officer in the Navy, both of my brothers and one of my sisters were in the military... I am proud of their service.

Mitch - when you mentioned my last hair cut I had to go look; found it
http://www.womenrv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2165&hilit=+hair+cut
Was surprised to learn it was almost exactly 5 years ago. I did not cut it quite as short this time.
I do feel good about donating it and think they can use it all as no perm, color, split ends, very little gray, etc. Wonder at my age if it will grow back again?

good morning ladies
hot day today, ac has kicked on 3 times already. Didn't get anything done outdoors this morning, made a trip to Home Depot
instead. Got my deck screws and a few other items and priced some items for some upcoming projects. Was glad to get
that all done before the store got packed with customers and it was still coolish. Also stopped at the grocery store and bought
my groceries for the week.
Had an unsettling night with tummy/intestinal issues but was able to get back to sleep after watching a movie. Will have to
be careful what I eat today.
Love the haircut Sarah, I had mine cut a week ago too but I went too short this time. Had alot of compliments at work but
I'm still not used to the shortness. It will be great for the pool though and it will grow quickly, at least it always has but I'm
afraid as we get older it might stop growing  :o I hope thats not true.
Off to catch up on some posts. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Sarah, love the hair! It's still long enough to pull up if you want , but short enough to handle easily.
