wow so pretty ...I think I need to make this stop next spring Zion that is wonder if someone will join me would be more fun....
this state is blessed with so many neat areas
oh looked I did for the name of the flower ...nothing in the books I have they are a combination so not all of anything
closest I came was a type of penstemon or a variation of snapdragon...and yet neither of those were what you pictured just similar
used to have a set of books loved them but got rid of them when we got the fifth wheel the book on flowers was according to color so easy to find what you were looking for

I well remember that trail. Made it to the upper pool and was disappointed that there was not much water in any of the pools. That was April of 2007. Hope to get back to Zion again before long.

Something I did not get a chance to do at Zion--you can take your bike on the shuttle up to the end of the canyon and then coast downhill back to the main visitor center. The only traffic allowed on that part of the road are shuttles and people staying at the hotel half-way up, so it is fairly safe.

I love Zion, so need to go back someday.
