Sunny Sunday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Sunday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Sun May 18, 2014 9:11 am

A Good Sunday Morning to you all,

Beautiful sunshine here, temps starting to warm up. Breakfast is over and done, sorry but you weren't up yet, so we got tired of waiting and sweing needing to be done. Bacon, eggs, toast, OJ and nice Wild Blueberry Jam to go with the toast.

Carolb left yesterday morning on her last leg of her trip home. Hope she's enjoying the trip through Canada by now. Brenda is busy sewing up the last of the cushions. Decided to make more than the original planned as we had enough foam to do it. So now will have a nice dinette turned couch with nice new cushions on the bottoms back and even the sides along the wall. We went to Hobby Lobby and picked out a contrasting fabric to go with the other two and will finish that up today along with the cornice boards which I took down yesterday. Will have that all done by end of day today as she is leaving tomorrow. Also ordered a border to put around the walls of trailer from local paint store. So that will be next project when that comes in. New foam is cut on on the bed. So this week will be cleaning and getting things put back inside and ready to hit the road whenever.
Am taking before and after pictures, so will post them a bit later.

Things to do, so off and getting busy here. Have a nice day everyone :)

Can't wait to see pics!

Gorgeous day here! :D Sunny with highs in the 70's! Unfortunately, I have to work all day :(

Got quit a lot done around here yesterday. The bedroom is packed up and ready to go, the bathroom is almost done. Tomorrow I should be able to get most of the rest of the place ready, other than cleaning and carpet shampooing. Don't want any last minute rush to get it all done later.

Sounds like there are quite a few people moving out of here now. Most likely for the same reason I am moving out. The holes in the sidewalk are getting larger and they aren't even covering them up. A kid could get their whole foot and leg down in it if they weren't watching where they were stepping! They are asking for a law suit if/when someone trips and gets hurt.

Hope you all have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

good morning ladies
not feeling real normal today, don't know whats up with that and concerned about my health now. Little vertigo/dizziness
makes me know its time to make an appt, plus the hip pain I've been having makes me worry too. Gotta get through one more
week of school. :? :|
Still waiting for the handyman to call, although its early, I tried to convince him to get this done in the high part of the day.
But we will see. If I end up doing it myself it will have to wait until I feel better.
Breakfast was a fruit cup and a cinnamon roll this morning. It was so good, the different berries and strawberries, oh yum.
Still have a few strawberries for snacking today. Done with coffee and hitting the gatorade to stay hydrated.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good morning Sue, Barbie, Ava & everyone!

Sue, you & Brenda have been busy outfitting your travel trailer. I can't wait to see what you've done.

Barbie, it won't be long now and you'll be in your new apartment and making it your new home. It's probably a good thing you got out when you did.

Ava, I hope you wake up feeling better tomorrow. Please take it easy and don't over do.

The woodstove is stoked and Steve is outside cutting grass with a jacket on. Hope it warms up soon. Went to church this morning for the first time since we've been home and it was nice seeing everyone again. Next week I'll be playing for the congregation for the every other week schedule. Have a good day everyone!

Good morning all, everyone is so busy and I feel like a slug. I continue with having the leg pain and taking pain pills. Lying on the couch watching TV. I have seen some very good soft ball playing. These women are so fortunate to get an excellent education while playing ball. A friend of a friend got a scholarship to Dartmouth. Saw her on TV yesterday. Lyn

Good morning gals!

Sue, I was up this morning-wish you'd have saved me some breakfast. I was lucky to get a bagel and coffee after coming home from the vet's office with my dog's emergency. My Molly is pretty arthritic and the younger dogs knocked into her yesterday. Last night she was hurting pretty bad, shaking and crying out if touched. The pain meds I had here didn't do anything. So I called my vet and he met me at the clinic, checked her over and gave me some new pain meds. Scariest thing was that she wouldn't go potty, hadn't gone for almost 24 hrs. She did finally go; I was so worried it was something with her kidneys as she takes pred every other day. I'm watching her now to see if there's any improvement.

Lyn and Ava, I wish I could help you feel better-it's not fun to be hurting or feel not yourself. Please take care and get help from your Dr's if don't feel better soon.

Sue and Barbie you have so much energy-come on down to my house and help me clean! Really, I'm just too lazy to do it (and I absolutely hate dusting!) We definitely need pics of the new cushions Sue!

Irmi, I'll bet it feels good to be home again. That's nice that you play for the church, I love the music.

Duty calls, I'm working today. Have to go check on Miss Molly and see if she's feeling better. Darn those bad boy dogs!

Good Morning,

Irmi, how I would love to hear you play again!

Ava and Lyn, sorry you aren't feeling well. Lyn, you have been 'down' too long!

Sue and Barbie, wish I had your energy - oh wait, I have been using all mine talking!! :D

Kathy, sorry about your dog! I have been enjoying (sort of) my friend's 6 month old terrior (terror).

Diane and I had a wonderful, full day yesterday - highlight was a Gospel concert. Doesn't hurt that the director is HOT! I used to go to their concerts when I lived here.

Have a good day everyone!

Past morning but I’ll still pop in with my once a week greeting! I’ve done two loads of laundry and have another in the washer and have driven 80 miles round trip to Yankton to do a Wally World stock up trip and put everything away. Didn’t sleep worth a toot last night so as soon as the load of laundry in the washer is finished I’m taking a nap. Later this afternoon we have to go to three graduation receptions…two for high school and one for junior high. Now don’t get me wrong but I kind of feel like receptions for junior high graduations are a little out of line. Seriously! I really don’t see finishing 8th grade as an earth shattering milestone. But we’ll go with a card in hand to keep peace in the family.

Ava: you go get yourself checked out! Lynn, is it your sciatic nerve that’s giving you fits? Had that a couple times and it’s painful. Not really much that can be done except to take pain meds and pray for relief.

Sue: a lot ladies on the forum make me feel lazy…but you make me feel like a downright slug. Where do you get your energy?

Irmi, do you ever wish that you didn’t know how to play the piano or organ? One of my friends is a music teacher has a beautiful voice and is an accomplished pianist. She told me one time that just once she’d like to go to a wedding or funeral and not have to sing or play the organ. Personally that is something that I have never had to worry about….my voice is in the bull frog category and about all I can play on the piano is chop sticks.

Barbie, so glad that you had a nice visit with your daughter. Moving is such a pain in the keister.

Anita…gospel concert and lusting after the director….shame shame! :o

Laundry is done…it’s going in the dryer and I’m going to bed! ;)
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

I got back from our RV rally a little while ago. It was at a campground about 50 miles from me that is around 4 large fishing ponds. I tried to fish a couple of times but only caught one about 2 inches long. If there are many fish in there I sure didn't see them. We had a nice relaxing weekend and the weather was beautiful. Not too hot and at night it cooled down to the 60's. It was nice to be so close to home.

My sister and I are planning to go to the lake next weekend. I hope the fishing is better up there. A friend of hers might join us with her tent.

Energetic?? Me?? Ha! I am the Queen of laziness and procrastination!! I just have no choice but to get things cleaned, sorted, and packed up for moving. (Would rather read or take a nap, actually!)

Normally, I just sit around waiting for things to clean and move themselves! Hasn't worked yet, but I keep hoping! :D
