Foggy Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Foggy Tuesday

Postby Colliemom » Tue May 13, 2014 6:04 am

Morning everyone,

Bit foggy here this morning, but it won't last long. Warm air being pushed up by the latest storm crossing the U.S. Scattered storms and showers on forecast for today.

Not sure what's on the agenda today. Will probably work on my TT if it's not raining continuously. Have some small projects that I can do the in the garage as well. Going to build a platform to keep my big hitch bar set on so I don't have to lift it every time I want to hitch and unhitch from the truck. At home anyway. Need to sand a paint that hitch bar too. It was a used one that I got from dealer and needs a little paint. They swapped it for my shorter one as my new truck is higher than the trailer hitch is and wasn't riding level. And no charge from the dealer either :) it was much better than having to pay a small fortune for a new one. So now the TT is riding level and pulling like a charm :D

Posted the latest on Sassy's checkup yesterday under Pets for those who are interested.

Friend Brenda is coming up on Thursday since her company cancelled out, with her sewing machine and is going to make some new covers for the back cushions of my dinette. The new material arrived yesterday, so that's here. Just need to get some Dacron to wrap he foam in. She is also going to bring her table saw and we will rip some boards to make shelves for in a couple of my cupboards as well. So should be a fun time playing in the TT. Unfortunately the weather is going to cool down into the 50's, darn

I'm glad to see that so many of you had a nice Mothers Day on Sunday. Sounds like a few pounds added too  All those yummy dinners.

Irmi, hope you and Steve arrived home safely and all was well at your house. Bet neighbors were surprised to see a new rig driving in. And I'm sure you dad was happy to see you as well. Liz is still exploring and posting some great pictures. Some are on the move or getting ready to. Should be a nice summer of travels and pictures and new rigs getting broken in and so forth. I'm ready to hit the road, but..... Anyway, you all have a great day out there.

Mornin' Donna, Sue and all who follow,

Wow, storms rolled across my part of IL last night, some areas got hammered. Today will be cool, wet and not very nice.

Was fooling around by the TC yesterday (which is still NOT on the truck) and noticed ants-teeny tiny ones and tons of 'em-crawling up the supports. Looked inside and found them all milling around in there-yucky! Had to spray and close it up. Hopefully I got all the little buggers. I was soooo wanting to load it up and get out this weekend but with all the rain I guess that's not happening.

DH wants to blacktop our driveway after 28 yrs of gravel. I'm on board with that. Trying to snowblow 100+ ft. of gravel is a pita. Rocks all up in the grass everywhere. We have one estimate (gasp!) just waiting for another before we commit.

Sue, I'm glad Sassy seems a bit better. Never did like that Rimadyl stuff. Have fun making cushion covers and getting all your stuff organized.

Donna, whew-lots to do before you leave! Have a safe journey!

Gonna go for now. I am beginning an experiment with Tai Chi. Will let you know how it turns out (or not!)

Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Good Morning to all.

Mother and baby are doing great today, according to Daddy Joe who slept at the hospital with them both last night. Orson Wallace Amell is drinking his mama's milk with apparent gusto, and seems to be resting well after his trauma of coming into this world yesterday. I plan to go back today with his other grandma for another visit with Orion in tow. He gets very upset when his brother cries!

Congrats Soos on the new grandson!! What will be his nickname? Oey2?

Cold and blustery here again today. Only 45 right now. A repeat of last years cold wet spring! Golf was cancelled last night due to threat of thunderstorms. I wasn't feeling too good yesterday, so was OK with that.

Sue, glad Sassy had a decent checkup. Now to just get her to eat! Have fun with your TT transformation!

Have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Wet Morning everyone... it will be 63 and more rain here...hope this helps the farmers... coffee is good

give Sassy a big hug... Welcome to the world Orson... I bet Orion wonders about those cries... enjoy Soos what adventures you are having... Liz you are enjoying your travels that is great... Irmi and Steve should pull in today I believe... Kathy a black top drive way sure is a step up from gravel... Sue maybe turn on the furnace in the tt that would make it comfortable to work in... wow so many happenings here...

I am making progress sorting the things from the MH... it is a great way to sort out and only save the basics... just a lot of tedious work...

to my surprise the senior case worker called and came out yesterday... I sent her all of the e-mails and told her what had been going on... not sure if they can get a PPO against the twins or not... Margie has not answered my e-mails so not knowing what is going on in her mind... she does not like this drama... neither do I...

Carolb should be nearing the UP or is already there... enjoy and be careful driving...

Me and My Shadow say this mess must be cleaned up the park sale is Sat and I want to put things out for that...

Hot and sunny today at Pipestem, WV, although rain is expected later today. Even though this campground is woodsy, I managed to get partial satellite, so I am happy because today is going to be a rest day. I have been really exhausted with my busy week in Michigan and even busier one with three young grandchildren this past week in Ohio. Next year I will have to spend more time in both places and go more slowly. Sunday, I could barely move after reorganizing storage room and watching kids overnight on Friday, taking them to the zoo on Saturday, and going out to brunch on Sunday with all. Every muscle was sore, but I cleaned my place up so I feel comfortable in it. (Mess and dirt bother me and I just can't relax looking at it.)

I am here for two days so will take it easy. I had a long drive (340 miles) yesterday and started to get sleepy behind the wheel, so pulled over and napped briefly. Got to be careful about driving when I am tired. This used to be a serious problem with me but improved considerably when I retired.

Looks like a lovely place here, so am going to get my bike out for a long ride. Got a new hands-free phone set so I am going to learn how to use that later today. And, of course, grade my non-ending papers!

Dayspring, how about changing your email address and also opening a new Facebook account? Ditto for changing your phone number. While that is a lot of work notifying people, it would cut down on the communication, which is really what you need now.

Good Morning All, Nice warm, clear, sunny day here in SoCal. Leg is really hurting so am taking the pain pills. I rest on the couch after taking the pill so it can do its thing. Nothing in store for me today except a hair cut! It gets to the point that I would like to shave the head!. I'm planning on getting it cut SHORT!
I would love to take off in the cosy camper, but that's not possible right now. Have fun all who are traveling! lyn
