The new floor

Postby avalen » Sat May 10, 2014 7:14 pm

The new floor is 99% done, I still have 6 more edge pieces to do but I hurt so bad from getting up and back down to go cut and trim
on some edges. The hardest part was that frickin diagonal spot under the sink. Don't mind all the papers in the step well, I tossed it
all in there as I went along. Will pick it up after a few aspirins and a little nourishment.

Will also pick up some step trim like what you see on the stair to the bathroom and need a few new floor grates for the furnace.
Hope I'm not hurting tomorrow cause I really want to get those last few pieces trimmed out. We shall see. Tomorrow is a whole nother
day. :D

here is a picture of the steps I made many years ago when I first moved in. Its been covered with a big towel and then a rug, but its soon
to get a remodel of its own. I made another one for the upper stair to the bedroom too. The steps are 12" deep and just too damaging
to my knees climbing up and down the deep step. So....the little platform step is wonderful. And yes, I hide stuff under there.

I actually made it out of scrap material that just sort of fit together for the purpose.

love throw rugs Sheila, especially if they fit in the wash machine as they do all that warmth stuff to my feet just like carpet.
I'll be getting lots of throw rugs in the near future, and of course a few I make myself out of the big chunky yarn.

Nice job Ava! Take some Bayer Back & Body! Works great! (Just be sure to eat something first!)
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Looks great!! I HATE carpet, doesn't ever get really clean and since I've had my hardwood floors haven't had any problems with fleas! Yep Ava, throw rugs that go in the washing machine.
