Sorry to hear your little fellow is having all these challenges; so hard to see them sick or in pain. Sure hope the surgery takes care of the problem.

RIP Weatherby

Postby VickieP » Tue May 06, 2014 3:41 pm

Bad news this morning when the Vet called. The MRI that we thought was going to show which disc(s) were herniated and needed surgery, instead showed a cancer tumor that had metastasized into his spinal cord. Inoperable. The Vet was very caring and let us know that if we wanted they could give him enough morphine to allow him to come home for a day to say our goodbyes, but we decided we really didn't want him to hurt any more. This afternoon I went and held him as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge to meet up with Remi. Tomorrow I will pick up his ashes and we will bury him in the same spot Remi is buried. Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. Weatherby knew how much he was loved and we knew how much he loved us.

I'm so sorry Vickie. I never met Weatherby, but I'm crying right now trying to type this. It's just so hard to lose our best friends. Hugs to you and Ronnie, and I know Weatherby is running and playing now completely free of pain. God bless you and Ronnie for doing your best for Weatherby.
