DeWinterizing day

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

DeWinterizing day

Postby Colliemom » Tue May 06, 2014 6:20 am

Good Morning from the chilly 45th,

Sunshine out there this morning, but temps are chilly, 27 and a frost last night too. But normal for this time of year. Now those of you in FL who said you want some cooler northern Michigan air, probably didn't mean quite this cool

Will be heading off to the RV dealer later this morning, to drop of trailer for Dewinterizing. Will be first tow behind the new truck, so will see how it pulls. Taking time though as my hitch needs to be realigned due to a height difference. About a 60 mile drive.

CArol, is somebody keeping any eye on your place since you are stuck in FL? Now if you could just get back up there, maybe they could drive you to the license place of did doc say the numbers aren't right that you need for your eyes in order to get it. Guess you won't be at the KS GTG either, darn it. Unless a nice family member wants a vacation :) I was really hoping to be able to spend some time with you again. Now lets see, I have a spare bedroom and if you could get a driver,

Ava, loved those pictures you posted of the Clematis. Looks so beautiful.

Soos posted in FB that she made it to Jonesville last night. Tonight will be her last overnight on the road, so I'm sure she's happy about that. And by the way. Those of us who know her aversion for not wanting to dump waste tanks, well, she's DUMPING. Her porta potty is on the fritz, so she's having to use her trailers potty. She's managed twice now to do it she said.

Time to get a move on here. Have a wonderful day all, drive safe if you are on the road and enjoy the journey.

Good Morning Everyone, Another sunny , pretty day here. I'm alone again today, makes for a long day, sometimes, as there is nothing for Maggie and I to do here. I usually can keep myself busy, but didn't bring that much with me. My RV is down at my DD's and my books, DD's pool :D , and I could do a few chores for her etc. :( I'm hoping to get back this next week end, not sure who will take me :? :?: My Sis is wanting to get her home ready for their company, I think she doesn't think its done right unless she does it, or maybe she just likes doing it herself. So thinking I might need to vacate the one bedroom, not sure how many are coming.

Sue, I do have neighbors, that when home will check on things if someone is on my property or something seems wrong to them. Very busy family though, so not home a lot. The numbers for my eyes, are not good enough to try to get up there to try for Lic. I had them checked several times, as I feel I see good, but the numbers the last time were bad and I thought gosh how am I seeing at all. My grandson might take me up there when he graduates and before he goes into the Army. Have to wait and see what his plans might be, but DD suggested he might. I have not canceled my KS GTG site yet. :( but right now have no idea how I might get there.

Ava, I wish it were possible too, I wouldn't mind you driving my rig, think you're more then qualified :) Out there, but way north is where I wanted to go after a stop in mid Colorado. I am a long ways for you to get here and then back, but thank you for even thinking of it.

Donna, have you picked a date yet to leave on? I know its going to be a worry to leave your Dad, but sounds like you are doing all you can to make sure he will be ok. Its going to be really hot here soon. Are you waiting for warmer weather up at your home ? ;) It does sound like you have a busy day and yes I know what cost you have today, My Maggie and I, have just had that same bill :D

Rambling, no news, wishing you all a great day. Take care those on the roads, stay safe,
CArol :)

Good morning ladies,
The flowers I posted yesterday are called Mandevilla, not a clematis or related to bouganvilla. They are from the jasmine
or honeysuckle, can't remember which, think it was jasmine, and they do get a fragrance but more so for the white ones.
Down to 13 school days and my summer begins. Looking forward to getting stuff done.
Time to go start my bus, ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Martha, you hit the head of the nail on only being able to do one thing a day! I realized that this life really has caused me to lose it when I have lots to do. However, it is SO nice not to have to worry about alarm clocks and schedules and all those other things I had to worry about when I was working full time.

I have another list of things I need to get done today, but I wrote them down in my calendar. Ditto for the other things for the rest of this week. So today is license plate tags, haircut, take stuff to safety deposit box, take granddaughters to tennis lessons, and take all three little ones out to dinner at McDonalds. (And why are a 4 and a half year old and a 6 year old taking tennis lessons anyway???) Then I need to be back here at 8:00 p.m. so I can be online for a student meeting. Oh, and got to put water in my tank because city water pressure is horrible here, and I am tired of a dribble shower.

I will be glad to get back to my old schedule after I leave on Monday.

Good Morning from very windy, wet Death Valley! Not what I was expecting.

I have my ticket to tour Scotty's Castle at noon. Will just have to see how the truck and camper handle since it is an hour north of here. Then will see if I can get to where I want to spend the night. I won't be going to Yosemite due to threat of mountain snow along that route. Didn't do outside chores yesterday due to the wind - mistake. Argh!

Glad Soos is nearing home!

Have a good day all and safe travels!

Good Morning... coffee is so good this morning... am mentally making progress as far as my living situation goes... I am going to make a list and start downsizing my closets and clothes... I want all of them done by the time I have my cataract surgery... there were not 40 pages to read because many of those pages were forms to be signed... they make it seem like major surgery... driving home from FL I could tell the cataracts were getting much worse...

Oh CArol I know just how it is with your sister... I went once to see my sister and she was having guests for dinner over the weekend... she did a major cleaning right down to polishing the wainscoting... gees I would want to clean after they were gone!! But that was my sister Wilma... makes me smile now... wish she were still here so I could call and chat with her... there is nothing like our own space even if it is our MH... hang in there GF..

Ava the tone of your posts has so improved... you keep counting soon you will not be only free for the summer but free all year to do as you please!!

Sue good luck with the de-winterizing... and when you do the modifying post pictures... I so admire your skills...

Soos will soon be posting from her daughters... she posted such a lovely ice cream dish on Facebook.. yummy

Anita I think your summer has begun with many adventures yet to follow... is there a chance you could come to the Illinois GTG in OCT... would love anyone that can to come...

I agree Judy let them be kids that time quickly passes and cannot be recovered... what happened to playing cow boys and indians... or annie annie over?

My knee is healing from the fall but my back is catching something awful... guess it will take a bit more time to heal... it is high up between shoulder blades... Well on to read and sort papers... I hate not knowing what to keep and what to throw away!!!
Me and My Shadow send everyone hugs and wishes for a great day...
Kathleen or Kathy

Chilly and windy here...hard to believe a few days ago it was close to 100 degrees. Not a lot going on here, just kind of starting to put stuff near the suitcase in preparation for the the plane trip to Arkansas for the twins graduation from high school. Dreaming about being in Hope and on the road again. Kind of depressed and can't seem to shake it for some reason. Oh well, I'm sure it will disappear soon, it usually does altho it's sticking around longer than usual. Maybe I need a good hard kick in the keister or something. I'm sure there's someone on here that will volunteer for that job! :D Hope everyone is having a great day today!
