Sunday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Sun May 04, 2014 6:38 am

Morning all,

Another week has flown by. Seems like it was just Monday and now it's Sunday. Cloudy out here and there's a little snow/rain mix in the area. Haven't seen any here yet, but will probably. But clearing this afternoon and next week looking pretty good.

Church on agenda for this morning, then quick stop at store. Otherwise not much doing today. Read too late last night and then Sassy seemed to be delighting in waking me up every two hours it seemed like  Once for a potty call, the rest who knows.
Am hoping however to get into my TT this afternoon and so some measuring. Waiting for weather to clear up so I can take the winter cover off. Want to take it to dealer for Dewinterizing and a few other things I want done. I'm chomping at the bit to get in there and start "personalizing" it. Got lots of ideas and want to get with it. Been looking at picture of how some of you redid your rigs and also some on the web. With all the new rigs and such being added to the "Show Off Your Rigs" thread, sometimes I think we need a separate rig for "Modifications", since so many of us are always doing something.

Nothing on the breakfast menu here today .Larder is low, so need to refill. Sorry. Hope you find better pickings elsewhere and have a wonderful Sunday.

Good morning Sue, Donna & all who follow,

A beautiful day has dawned here in KS. Sun is bright - supposed to get to 80 or so today. Having my sisters over tonight for our own little GTG. With Mom gone we have to actually work at making these happen. We're still learning & adapting. ;)

Big family news - two of my nephews competed & won the opportunity to move up with BBQ Pitmasters on Destination America. I'll post a couple of links to their videos in the General area. They'll be representing the KC area which is NOT a small feat. Visited with them as they competed in the Sam's Club BBQ competition yesterday - they earned the right to move up to regionals in this one. If you're on FB check out 'Squeal Like A Pig'. :D

So much to catch up on here...
JudyB sounds like you have your work cut out for you. Wishing you luck & stamina for the task at hand.
Ava, love seeing your posts - so happy for you.
Carolb, glad you took a different route home - sounds like you're enjoying yourself after a winter of serving others.
Sue, looking forward to following the 'mods' you're planning for your TT.
Looked at the wood rot link - scary (& yucky  )
Sarah, keeping your niece & family in my prayers.
Liz, I'm just now catching up on your posts - love each & every one of them. You've opened my eyes to so many places that I want to visit along with showing us how to enjoy the adventure & learn from every stop we make.

Hope everyone's ailments are getting better - that includes the fur babies.

Well, I'd better get moving - gotta get the house in order for tonight.
Stay safe & take care,
Catherine

good morning ladies :D
going over in a little bit to pick up Darren the handyman, as he's going to work on a few chores I have on my list for today. Cheap labor
for those chores I need to do where I just don't have the stamina to "get r done" :? ;) :) My stamina tends to disappear when it gets hot.
Also plan on getting out there to take some pictures for my before and after album.
Worked a little on the wall in the bathroom yesterday, stripping the wallpaper on the wall behind the toilet. The steamer makes it come
off real nicely and I'm down to the toilet area. That wall will be ready to paint in due time, actually when we pull the toilet to put the
new one in. I plan on doing that soon cause I'm just biding my time until it starts leaking on the outside again. Looking forward to that day
cause the new toilet is much higher and will be easier on my old knees.
But for today, the main chore is to finish getting the big shelves in and the little ones removed. Then I can organize better and get the
stuff stashed away that is hiding on the side of my bed. He's also going to work on the carpet strip along the slide. If that goes well I can
start laying my tile.
Enough from me, ya'll have a great day, be safe and hope your temperatures are comfortable for you. (for me, our summer temps have
arrived and I'm not happy about it but it is what it is)

Good Morning Ladies, I'm pushing it again, if I don't hurry my post will be afternoon :D I love reading what all you are accomplishing each day, Ava, sometimes draw ambition from reading how busy you and Sue are, thanks for that. I agree, summer seems to be here in Fl too. not as hot as its going to be, but wearing shorts every day, already.
So many seem so busy and doing so much, spring must be springing somewhere :D

Its a beautiful day here too, sun is out, we haven't seen much of it this past week. Grass is a wee high here and my prissy Maggie doesn't much like getting her belly wet. the rain did cool it off a little, which I appreciate ;) Good time for the rain and cool weather as I am at my sisters, and the pool is at my daughters hr and half away :P

No plans for doing much today, may go do some shopping, depends if my Sis still wants to go (her day off, so waiting for her to mention again). I could use some more shorts, if I am to be down here long

Have a really good day all, Take care and stay safe, hope the weather is behaving itself wherever you are

CArol :)

Well, I did miss morning. I decided to vacuum this morning instead of getting on the computer. It's already up to 80. I bought some worms yesterday and might try to fish in the pond this afternoon. I like to fish but don't like to clean fish so they are pretty safe.

Yesterday I received a PM but didn't get an email. I just happened to notice I had a new message at the top of the screen. I sent a reply and it hasn't been opened yet so the recipient probably didn't get an email either.

Fish in the pond...

Reminds me - this morning, the earliest I've ever been out mowing (like 8:30), I mowed around the pond and there was a large brown (more taupe) snake sun bathing on the pier. Then went around again and when I got to the overflow pipe, a whole bunch of snakes scurried into the water. Scared the crap out of me. Never saw that many snakes here before. Makes me a bit nervous.

My friend George says I should kill them. I have never intentionally killed a living creature except spiders, and since living here - mice.

I've sent an email to my neighbor for him/her to tell me what I should do. I have snake shot that I bought George when we moved here, but the gun I bought for them always jammed. I think I gave it to Ronnie (speaking of that - Vickie, did he ever do anything to get it fixed). I THINK these bullets may fit in the other 22 revolver I have, but again, I need to have neighbor verify. Hopefully, by then, the snakes will be LONG gone...

Ugh.

Are there others who all of a sudden stopped receiving emails indicating a new post or a pm from the Forum?

It has happened to both Vickie and myself.

Just a really quick check in to let you know things went much better with my day on Saturday.
Guys did an outstanding job washing/waxing Magic. She looked so good; shame she is just sitting down there all alone.
Yard looks a lot better also; most of last weeks storm debris picked up. Still need a lot of trimming but that will have to wait. I even potted a few plants for the porch to see if that might brighten things up a bit.

Another yes to the no e-mail notice of PM

Have a great afternoon.

That's not counting the time you almost killed me with your cooking!

Still sitting in his hobbyroom along with his million others.

Ugh.

Don't bet on it! Here's what you do...grab your camera, go out there barefoot and wiggle your toes at the edge of the water to see if you can draw them up close enough to get a good pic.
