Friday Morning, and Visiting with Irmi and Steve..

Good morning, all....
Well, we left GA yesterday, heading North on I-95 on our way to the "Seasonal Home Base Site" in PA....We always do this trip in 2 days with an overnight stop somewhere half way...This year we met up with Irmi and Steve heading home to MD, so the 4 of us are in NC for a short visit...They talked us into staying 2 nights so that we can hang out and visit.. ..which works for us cause our site in PA is drying out after all the rain there.... Those who have been to our "Home Base" will remember that we face a field which tends to have many "wet weather springs" in it, making backing into our site very iffy as we can and have gotten stuck during the process....So, we're giving the field sometime to dry out and have already asked the owners (Ernie's cousin-in-law) to park us with his BIG tractor when we get in tomorrow...

Anyways, we had a lovely dinner with Irmi & Steve, last night, after we got settled in here...(Irmi took photos... ), had some wine, chatted, and then we all settled in for a well deserved sleep...(6 good hours for me )....We'll all just hang out today and enjoy conversations and food....yep, even "Mini GTGS" involve food and wine....

Okay, just have coffee and cold cereal for you all, as my oven is packed away for travel....but help yourselves....

Good Morning Lori and all,

So nice to read that you are spending time with Lori and Steve, Lori. Was wondering where they were. Sounds like a good idea to wait out the rains. Soos is supposedly along that route someplace too. Looks like the rain and storms etc. are finally moving out of the U.S. although lingering rains are around yet. Damp and chilly day forecasted for here.

Going to be a bad day for my wallet today. Heading for Camping World later this morning and we all know what that means

Kathleen, glad you didn't suffer anything more than a skinned knee with that fall. Scary though. Maybe you should look into one of those call button programs that you can carry around your neck in cases like that. BJ, new wheels!. I hear you about the electronic stuff. Got stuff on my truck that I don't even know what they are about or probably never use. BarbaraRose, glad to hear you are moving to another apt. Wish I could find a place on a lake again as I do miss the water. Lake Superior keeps calling me north, so who knows. Loved the pictures of the pelicans. Can't of course afford waterfront on that lake, but would be nice if I could live close and walk along it's shores when I want. Sarah, sorry about that tree. Luckily that lightening bolt didn't jump from the tree to house or something. Beth, glad you hear you were finally able to start work again. Hopefully you will be able to get your MH to it's home park for the summer.

Got my new seat cushion foam ordered for my dinette and also a swatch of material for new covers. Will probably be arriving next week. Plan to take cover off my trailer and get the thing to dealers for dewinterizing and also a few other details I want them to attend to for me.. Friends around he corner here just returned from a vacation trip to TN. Unfortunately hit a pole making a turn and damaged side of their TT, awning and I don't know what else. At dealers for insurance estimate right now. And by the way, JudyJB, said same friends just came home yesterday and had camped at Sterling where you are. So you were probably there at same time. Small world.

going to JoAnn's today...have to rethink my quilt/blanket
for GGD...so will go over and look around...take the RV..
mall is across the street..so will hang out there with Maggie
she is aloud in the Mall and JoAnn's ...if she is in a buggy...

Good Morning, Looking like rain any minute here. Until thunder etc. starts, am enjoying going through Liz's blogs, I'm behind, but so nice to have several I have not seen to look at , at one time. My IPad does not bring in all pics, and not always able to get on laptop, so really taking advantage this morning.

So Nice Lori that you and Irmi and hubbys have the chance to visit on your way north. I was wondering if you all wouldn't meet up somewhere. Guessed right, huh?

Not much on the agenda here, I'm alone for the morning at least and that's nice, so just doing what I want too.

Wondering how you are liking your job, Beth, I love the area you're in. Happy exploring on your days off, of course, we'll be looking for pictures

Good morning gals!

Didn't get much done last night. My friend Steve came over for awhile so just relaxed and talked. He is going to help me move.

Still chilly and cloudy here but supposed to start warming up and getting sunny. I hope so, since I start playing on my golf league on Monday!

I see some new ducks out on the lake now. Not sure what they are. They are very small and they dive under the water. This lake is a popular stop-over for waterfowl on their migrations north and south.

Gotta get to more laundry and cleaning before heading off to work later...

Not a very good day around here so far. Just got back from Cancer Center; they turned my niece down again for chemo treatment giving her 2 units of blood instead. Did get to talk to oncologist , he says in her condition the chemo would likely do her in faster than the cancer. Will wait another week and try again. Am asking for lots of prayers again as I honestly do not see how she can keep this up much longer.

On a brighter note I have made arrangements for someone to come to campground tomorrow to wash Magic. And later in the day some help at house cleaning up small debris from the recent storms.

Friend who just recently sold house made it thru the inspection with only a few minor things to fix. She is leaving Tuesday for New Orleans to try to find her new house near her son. She is so excited.

Need to get on to something else so I can at least accomplish something positive today.

Sue, Sterling State Park is really handy for people heading up north or visiting Detroit. There are not too many places around, and it is the perfect distance from the freeway to avoid noise but be convenient.

Sarah have all three of you in my prayers... it is hard to know how to pray but I am praying for Gods will He knows best... she has suffered so much... glad you have got some help with the storm debris... you have a heavy load Sarah...

My daughter asked me about the button but I have asked before and they said I would need a land line... I am going to check it out again it has been almost a year...

CArol I think Sue hits the floor running every morning... takes me at least two hours to get moving...
