Good Morning from the wet 45th,

At least it's rain and now the white stuff. April showers bring May flowers as they say. Just finished small breakfast this morning, muffin and strawberries, but eggs, bacon and toast available for anyone who wants some.

Haven't been on here since return from U.P> Had a nice time and even two snowstorms while I was up there. Easter was a glorious day full of food too. Breakfast brunch at the church I go to when I'm there and TX BBQ by the construction workers who are starting to wrap up their project and will be heading for home in a few weeks. Had an afternoon long party going. Been busy working in yard for past couple of days, getting ready for summer.

Skimming down through MC and General Talk, I see everybody's been busy busy. More people starting to travel and move around, Carolb heading home slow but sure, Anita heading to AK, Beth to SD, Louis in FL at moment etc. Kathleen, hope you get better soon, sounds like you are really having a battle with those allergies. CArol, hope you get out of FL, get your license and then you can keep your summer plans intact. Ava sounds so relaxed and enjoying her new life.

I moved my TT off it's boards I had it sitting on yesterday. Wanted to see how much hitch height there was between new truck and trailer. A little over three inches, so will be getting some hitch adjustments done eventually. Weather has been so cool and wet a few times this week, that it's hard to get interested in TT right now. But will be ordering new foam and also getting some upholstery material to redo seat cushions, well friend is going to do that. Then will get busy "personalizing" inside.

Enough chatter here. Need to reinstall my printer to this computer as it was just cleaned out from a virus, so starting new again. Have a great day all.

On edit, see Donna posted same time as I did, so moved over here. Gosh, Donna, I would be interested to see what that was all about too.

Mornin' gals! News said that police were chasing the rv because of suspected drugs (I think) and that when it crashed it caught fire and they hurried up to put it out so the propane tanks wouldn't blow. Saw the woman on the news getting out of the MH and approaching police. Don't remember what happened to the driver but I think they got him out too. Did you actually see it happen, Donna? Scary but cool. :o

Pretty morning here, rain last night. Today and tomorrow look to be the best days of the next 7 or so. Seems like rain every day is predicted. I have a lot to do outside, just my luck!

Had to put a screen on my pasture gate this a.m. as DH's pup has found a new trick: he crawls over the bars and helps himself to some tasty horse treats-YUCKY! That pup is way too smart for his own good. Always figuring out new ways to get himself into trouble.

Better go and get started on my current projects before the day gets away from me.
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Made it to Maumee, OH, and headed to Sterling State Park this morning. Only about an hour drive, but need to stop and get some groceries and a birthday present on my way. Long drive from Kentucky yesterday with stops for a hostess gift for my niece and a couple of tops to layer for my faculty meeting on Saturday. My wardrobe is REALLY limited, as you might guess, after two years of full-timing!! Yes, I will pass the two year mark in a month! Amazing.

Like this campground here in Maumee because it has a Laundromat, so caught up on my laundry. Only problem is that only two loops are open and all water on the loops is shut off, so I had to drive down to the potable water hookup near the dump station to fill my tanks. They are still afraid of having a freeze, so only one source of water. Hope the campground in Michigan will have water hookups. Both these campgrounds are on Lake Erie, so it should be a couple of degrees warmer than farther inland.

Got lots of appointments this week with doctors, dentists, faculty meeting, financial advisor, and friends and old co-workers! Also need to stock up on some stuff I can only get in Michigan since it will be another year before I come back. Will be a busy week. Then on to south of Cleveland to visit grandkids, and back to northeast Georgia for a few days. My elderly aunt and uncle need to clear out valuables and personal items from their large mountain home so they can move down to Florida where they have also owned a home for 8 years, but not lived in for more than a couple of weeks at a time. (It is a large second-floor, condo in a senior village where they have a private elevator and can get meals delivered, etc.) They need to be in a less isolated place where they can get help if they have medical problems, especially since my aunt cannot drive and has the beginning of dementia. They have no children, and I am one of two executors, so need to get them moving in packing and sorting through art and such for sale, take with, or give away. Will be calling in an art assessor to figure out what is really valuable and what isn't. Means changing my plans for May and part of June, but no choice. Going to be a big, emotional job, so not looking forward to it.

G'morning all :)

Looks like some nasty weather going across the states. Ditto, Beth, on trying to find a place to hunker down for the weekend! I didn't stay at Escalante, since they are the ones that told me about the storm coming in. So yesterday was a driving day--beautiful!!--to get back to somewhat "safer" civilization (Salt Lake City area). Sharon, I think "your" winds have traveled here to Utah!

Irmi, you on the road today??? Kathleen, glad you are on the mend... Sue, welcome back...

And that's all! Y'all have a great day & be safe always! 8-)

Good morning! Nice sunny breezy morning here in MN! Will be around 60 today, but then cools off for the next several days with more rain next week.

I see a boat going by! What a nice thing to see out my window finally! It was official "ice out" on Lake Minnetonka yesterday morning, meaning you can take a boat thru all the channels and bays without hitting ice. The sheriffs water patrol decides that by going out with their boats. That is a big job on this lake!

Heard a cute story yesterday from one of my customers. He recently lost his wife and planned a road trip thru the Midwest and southwest over the winter to visit friends and family. His granddaughter said he shouldn't travel alone now that Grandma is gone, so she gave him a little stuffed dog to take with him. So where ever he went he would take pictures of the dog in different places and in front of "welcome to..." signs in states and cities, etc. He said he got some strange looks from people but his GD was thrilled! (she is 6). I thought that was so awesome!

Have a great day! :D

Good Morning Everyone, hope you all are well and happy doing something that will make this day great for you. I am watching out this big window here at a crew washing and waxing my RV. That makes me very happy. I have worried about this black in this hot Fl sun. so this is making me soooo happy !!!

Not sure whats happening with many of you, have tried to keep up with those traveling. Carolb is in a beautiful area, wondering if she is going over hogback ridge(hope I am remembering correct name). That's exciting  !!!! The colors on that trip are so pretty, I can still picture some of that area in my mind, sure wishing I was traveling with her  Beth, I think must be traveling roads I have traveled many times, so close to my son, gosh, I sure need to be on the roads :( Hwy 50 in Colorado has some sights not to be missed, especially eastern part of state. Enough of this, just enjoy and travel safely gals.

Hope you all are well, no one with bad issues to deal with, those traveling stay safe and enjoy that ride !!!!

I'll be in the pool later :P
CArol :)

Loved your story Barbie, several got in before me on here, not unusual, see Carolb is in Utah, so missed some of the countryside I thought she would see. Wow, Judy you have traveled right along, have a great day all, I'm off of here :D

Good morning ladies
Hanging out at work for a little bit. The highway 101 is closed in
both directions due to a jumper sittin on the overpass. The detours
will be to overburdened with traffic right now.
@Carolb, taking my time working on that edge near the slide. The rest is
ready. Can concentrate on indoor stuff in the summer.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Nope! We still have them here and they're not supposed to be gone until tonite. Weather report said up to 50mph gusts later today. Other than that having a great time here! Lots of beautiful bikes and cute butts!!

Hi all!

There has been a slight glitch in our plans to get on the road today and we're laying over at the campground for one more night. The hitch on the motorhome and car trailer didn't align. After flipping the ball on the hitch, after borrowing tools and manpower, that's done. The car trailer is on the ball on the motorhome but for some unknown reason, the trailer doesn't have any lights. We're calling in the pro's and they should be here this afternoon to see what the problem is. So we'll try again tomorrow if the repair is made today. It would have been a beautiful weather day to be traveling but it'll be nice tomorrow, too.

Donna, there was a woman apprehended on 301 just outside the campground this weekend. A police was chasing her down the road, she slid into the median and took off on foot. Another police with a K-9 got the woman. After a total of 9 police cars, a van marked Forensics, one fire truck and one ambulance, she was hand cuffed and taken away. Still don't know what happened but it gave lots of us something to watch. Oh, the life at a campground.

Yesterday was a nice driving day, but today was gorgeous. No wind at all. of course it's the lull before the cold, sins, rain and possibly even snow come in. Even though the earliest I can get into my cg for the summer is Monday, I'll decide today or first thing in the morning about getting there tomorrow (stay at Americas mailbox, hunkering down there) or just hunker down where I am until the weather clears again.

I'm in Bayard, NE at their city park which has three w/e sites. Free for two nights, $10 per night over 2. There was one other rig here when I arrived. They were getting ready to pull out. Nice folks in their first motorhome.

About to head into town, I need apples!
