Missed reading here yesterday, so just took some time to catch up....

Sounds like lots of traveling going on....we'll be heading out for the "home site" a week from today...need that "kid & grand-kid" fix....

Good morning ladies
Still getting things in order, pitching stuff out and getting stuff fixed. Ordered
the new toilet yesterday, a repair kit was no longer available for my model and
not something I could do anyway, cheaper in the long run to just replace. It was
on internet sale for 137. I'm happy with that idea.
Coffee is fresh and a couple pieces of toast for my hungry belly. I will gladly share.

Oh brrrrrrr...where did Spring go? It's gloomy, cold and windy here today. Not much fun weather wise.

Glad to hear of others' travels. I live vicariously through you gals!

Always something doing here, mostly keeping up with housework (YUCK) or yard work (think: pooper scoopin'!) SSDD!

Trying to make plans for a weekend campout with girlfriends in a nearby SP. Not much luck so far.

Oh Anita, you are soooo right! Yesterday, I'm sitting here enjoying this beautiful place, but feeling "something" missing--realized "I need Anita!!"

Kathleen, sounds like the consensus is "allergies"--I'd go with that too. Hope your eyes are better today...Ava, must be like heaven to be so close to your job. Did you get your floor done? Catherine, are you back home now??? What a lovely trip you had...And Ginger, SSDD??

I'll be moving on to Escalante Grand Staircase today. Lower elevation, should be warmer--17 deg here this a.m. Nice to have a little "winter" tho, before I return to a NY summer.

Carolb, I had to google Escalante Grand Staircase, and looked at the photos of it and it is definitely on my bucket list now! What a gorgeous place! The rock formations and colors are amazing! Never even heard of it before.

Cold and raining today. We need the rain tho. Not happy that I have to park in the back lot at my apartment building in the muck and mud tho. By the time I get home at night, the regular lot is full so I have to park in the lower lot. My Jeep looks like I have been out 4 wheeling!

Carolb, Escalante was on this year's list until Alaska took over!

Two projects completed yesterday and then a ride in the desert. Enjoying cooler temps as well.

The Grand Staircase is really interesting. In addition to the park, the staircase actually extends from Arches south to Grand Canyon. It's amazing that the oldest rocks in Arches in the north are actually the youngest at Grand Canyon. That's how they came up with the "Staircase" name. The rock formations form a staircase of sorts from north to south. I just love Utah!!!

Ava, good idea on the new toilet. By the time you pay for labor to change a seal you could have replaced the toilet. I actually changed a toilet myself one time but the ones they make today look like some of them have different hoses.

I took a run to town in the motorhome and got gas. Wanted to make sure it's running ok. Harold wants to go to a horse sale on Saturday and I think I have him talked into going in the motorhome. He said he was ashamed to show up in the motorhome. I told him I could let him out down the road and he could walk in. I left it out to wash it. It's pretty windy so I will probably be the one that gets washed.

Well, am down a tad in elevation. And for all of you who know I'm not a morning person, you will have trouble believing I was on the road at 7:08 this morning. And it would have been about 1/2 and hour earlier - but my car doors were frozen shut. Yep, it was cold this morning. The sun warmed the doors so I could open one and put the car in neutral - then we were off. 300 miles today - wind was around, but nothing like yesterday. Temps and wind are to be bad this weekend - so I'm playing with my plans. I'm in CO now and will probably just drive about 150 or so miles tomorrow to a city park in NE - where I might just hunker down for the weekend. Weather is going to be bad all weekend. I contacted my job to see about getting there Sat instead of Mon - but no one will be around on Sat. So, I might still head up there on Sat to avoid what's coming in later Sat - Mon - and hunker down at the rv park by my mail service. Need to pick up mail anyway. Decisions, decisions.

Meantime, free site with electric for tonight - so if it does get cold, I won't know it.

Late Afternoon Ladies... Well I should pay you gals for the diagnosis... I did not sleep again last night but stayed in bed any way that is 3 nights with no sleep... my eyes were swollen shut this morning and my face also... I look like something out of a horror movie... Went to the doctor and yes he believes allergies either sun poisoning or the anti biotic for the UTI I took last week... I came away from the pharmacy and doctor office with a very light purse... the med was $26 steroids and an antihistamine another $10... Doctor said it could be 3 weeks before I am back to normal... well dang I thought I lived in Normal!!.. believe it or not Shadow does not know who I am but he hears my voice coming out of this thing and he simply turns his head back and forth... poor guy!! This was the first time my daughter had driven since her eye surgery on Tuesday... she had something cut to let her one lazy eye lid go up like the other one... With all this going on I had forgotten about her surgery... my doctor did not want me to drive until he saw me... I am cleared to drive as long as I can see past the swelling... lol

BJ thanks for the advice on the fleas... I will get some of the salt and try it made a list!... what about using the salt on the bed and furniture? The vet said not to ever bathe him... but I have used Dawn before... You ladies are the best... oh Louise so nice to see you post...

Ava I smile every time I see you post... how much fun you are having... hope you find someone to install the potty!!! going in a coffee can is a bit hard!!

CarolB when are you heading back east? how is little Piper doing... And yes Ginger it is a bit on the cool side here... crazy weather all over.... We seem to have a good number of ladies in Illinois... maybe a GTG is in order... there is a Corp of Engineers park mid way in Il... well this is not the place to post that... besides I have a grandson's wedding Aug 2 and a month visit to my GF in 6 lakes Mi...

My daughter son in law and two grandson's and granddaughter in law are going to use my MH over the memorial day weekend... so glad they are interested in using it... they are going rock climbing in south west Indiana some place... that means I need to get the rest of my stuff out of there... I bombed it so there should be no fleas... the floor is laminate with a few wool rugs... I will douse those rugs with the salt also!!!

Guess the pills made me gabby... no laughing please!! hope everyone is having a good or even great day...

Looks like we are in for some storms this evening, we need rain but could do without storms.

Kathleen I would think you could use the salt anywhere you can vacuum it up. If you are worried about the furniture try it on a spot under a cushion or where it won't be noticed to be sure it doesn't fade the fabric. Why did your vet say never to bathe Shadow? I would think all dogs need a bath occasionally! I hope you get to feeling better really soon!!
