Safe travels Sheila. Yes, do take it easy on the truck. Our trucks are capable of doing a lot, but they do have their limits like we do Ava, I hear you about the propane tanks. I'm finding as I get older, I can't left stuff like I used too either. Now e know how our parents felt as they aged.

I'm just sitting here watching it snow, but I think the heaviest is over. Just came in from doing some shoveling. Helping owners out with snow clearing. Gets me out in fresh air for a bit and Sassy needed a potty call, now that she can walk around out there without wading up to her tummy. It's hard to believe it's almost Easter Sunday with all this snow around. But this is Michigan's U.P. and you deal with it.

I will be heading for home on Monday and then will be getting into my yard and starting the spring cleanup. Need to get my lawn tractor up and going as it has work to do. Always run a dethacher around to break up the ground after a long winter. Helps the grass get going. Hope we have nice evened out rains this summer to keep things green. With the sandy soil, it dries up fast.

Also dreaming of traveling. Had been a dream for a few years now. Keep trying to decide if I should sell the house, get a better TT And do some traveling for awhile before settling down to another place. If my trips I am planning get off the ground this year, I guess that will tell me if I want to do that kind of things. This place where I am staying is up for sale and if it doesn't sell as a resort, then they plan to make condo's out of it. I could buy a condo and then I would just lock the door and leave. But there are things that must be considered before doing that. We shall see. meantime I will keep planning that trip to Custer and Yellowstone. Jamor life decisions are not easy, I know some of you are going through this and some already have. For others, it was an easy one.

Well, enough blabbering about nothing for the most part. Time to leave this nice warm fire and go do something else. Will have to coe back in some evening for s'mores

Actually made it to Salt Lake City..yes it was a long day and tomorrow I'm sleeping in no alarm no having to get up to take a walk before it gets hot we will go when I want to...haha have some issues that need resolved...the outside cover to the hot water tank flew away a tire needs aired up on the trailer sure wish it was the truck and need to see why I don't have a left turn signal/break light..changed the bulb that didn't help have it on the right so it's not the plug from the truck to the trailer...it all sounds like money but the light I can take care of later not going anywhere for a month the tire perhaps sooner than later..wonder if Good Sam's can do it? since I'm parked not sure how that works...

Light could be the plug...take it out and reinsert it, see if it helps. I had that issue with my tow , and had to get a new cord.

Sheila, you might want to try blowing some compressed air into your connection. Because you haven't hooked up for so long, there might be something inside the "female" side that is preventing a good contact. Carrying a small can of compressed air (like the kind used to clean electronics) can be a lifesaver at times.

I have turn signals/break lights on the right so would you still think the cord?
will have to spray the air in it and see if that helps...trouble is I'm backed in they didn't have pull throughs
for a month stay and I'm right up to the wall so not sure how that is going to work even if I get someone to come work on it
or how to check it before leaving after spraying air in it...sure didn't think of that when I took this site but like I
really didn't have a choice

When my cord was a problem, I still had blinkers/ lights on one side. One or more of the contact points wasn't working. Laura's idea is a good one. But unless you want to pull it out to check it, I guess you can't check that until you leave.

Check it at night, the lights should show up.

Check for corrosion inside the plug. Could have gotten moisture in there.

little campfire and a little wine, ahhhhh, actually I just got back from the jacuzzi and soaked my sore tired muscles and rejuvenated
myself. Worked intermittently on removing staples around the edge of the room and tore up a few knuckles, got a few splinters too.
Have gotten all the way around the kitchen area and started in on the edge of the slide, lifting up the carpet as I go, cutting right along
the edge. This will be the hardest part. I will do a little bit each break and some in the evening depending on how I feel. It was scary
getting started but little baby steps are get'n it done. Got a new toaster today as the old one quit on me and also picked up a lock for
the back gate as one neighbor continued to go through my yard and even let her dog poop without cleaning it up in my yard. Not very
nice but the padlock will resolve that issue and then later on a fence.
So, all in all, we are getting settled in and I feel so much better but I just can't get enough wine

I took up the carpet in my previous motorhome and in my living room. It's hard to believe the number of staples they used to hold the carpet padding down. The tile wasn't hard to put down in the living room. I can say that because my son did most of the work. I had put the wood look strips in the motorhome and it was like a jigsaw puzzle. A small space and a lot of cutting. It should be easier with a larger area.

It's hard to believe someone would keep cutting through your site. My sister doesn't understand not to cut through other people's sites. She has trouble waking and is going to take the shortest distance. I'm just waiting for someone's dog to get her.

I've decided tomorrow looks better than any of the following 4 days to travel, so made reservations for two nights at Americas Mailbox arriving tomorrow. I can then pick up my mail on Monday and if I have everything necessary I'll take care of finishing up titling the rig in SD on Monday also. Weather permitting, I'll then still be able to arrive at my summer home Monday afternoon and get settled in in the rain and cold. Well maybe not completely settled, some can wait for nice weather.

I was just reading about the coming weather to where you are Beth. Was going to send you a message that it looks better to head north sooner rather than later. Glad you made that decision. Drive safely.

Haven't checked in for awhile. Ken made it here with my new-to-me toad. I am getting used to Tootsie Pop and actually liking her. Ken keeps calling her Penny Tomorrow is my last day working here before we leave, next week, for IA. I have been cooking the pancake breakfast, here at the campground, so offered to help one more time. I will miss driving the Jellystone Express Planning to take a scenic route through Arkansas and do some kayaking. Maybe stay at USACE campgrounds. Open to suggestions.
