Chihuly in Kentucky

There's a new Chihuly installation in Kentucky! And it's a ceiling installation! I saw one set up like this once, and it is truly magical.

I think this is a permanent installation . . . and the Maker's Mark tour would be fun too . . . ;)

I LOVE Chahuly, his exhibits are incredible and so beautiful.

I think I see a trip to Kentucky in my future! Chihuly has a similar display at the Glass Museum in Tacoma, WA which takes your breath away.

Maybe I'll have to do a trip following Chihuly displays. The art museum at Kansas State Univ in Manhattan has a Chihuly chandelier.

Love mixing the art with Maker's Mark lol

Have done the Maker's Mark tour - not bad. They gave us two samples. I remember a time in my life I liked that stuff ... yuck ... gave mine away.

That's cuz you skip most people's blogs - there's an exhibit of his at the Botanical Gardens in Phoenix - Anita blogged on it, as did others. Go take a look - Anita got awesome pictures. He has one piece that resides at the Botanical Gardens all the time - the rest is there as an exhibit this winter/spring only.

I got permission from Anita to use her pictures for my computer desktop background. Love Dale's work and have toured his exhibit in Tacoma. I hope they filmed him doing the glass blowing for this KY venue. PBS sometimes shows specials of him at work. It's amazing watching his mind create onsight. Thanks for sharing.

I saw a similar ceiling installation at the Chihuly gallery in Tamp/St. Pete area. Makers Mark sounds so much fun.
