Sunny Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Sunday

Postby Irmi » Sun Apr 06, 2014 8:23 am

Good morning everyone!

It's a beautiful morning in Ocala with warm temperatures and sunny skies, although it looks like there could be some severe weather in other parts of the country, so I hope everyone here stays safe.

It's exciting to read about everyone with their new rigs and trucks. The GTG in Kansas is going full swing before it even starts. Carolb is on her way east recovering from the caregiving she did all winter. I know all too well how exhausting that is. Sue and Barbie and others in the north are still fighting with winter weather. I sure hope the weather settles down for you.

Pancakes, sausage and strawberries are ready, so please help yourselves to breakfast. Have a great day everyone!

G'morning Irmi & all to follow :D

Irmi, we all know about your cooking, so I'm sure breakfast is delicious! Glad you'll be having a nice day in FL! I'm on my first cup of coffee, watching the sun rise over the hills in the desert. Beautiful...PM from Ava--thank you--to plan our mini gtg in her new home:)

Tigger absolutely much better! So I go back to my theory that it was allergies, since I've forgotten to give him benadryl a couple times since we've been here, & he does fine.

May backtrack about 15 miles & see what's happening on the Colorado River today. I remember camping there in the 70's, free, but don't know how things are now. Also will pick up a few groceries in Blythe.

Y'all have a great day & be safe always! 8-)

Good Morning gang,

Beautiful sunny morning here too. Heading to 50 today. Will be out having a truck wash later on. But being lazy this morning. Still recovering from a bout with after painting allergies or whatever. Always gets my sinuses messed up and then I get a sinus headache for a couple of days and feel crappy. But friend reported same thing yesterday. Maybe alignment of planets, who knows.

Irmi, you breakfast offering sounds so good. I can just taste those yummy pancakes. Making me hungry, but then going to be lunch time pretty soon. Carolb, glad you are getting time to relax and enjoy nature for awhile. Ava. I can just feel the excitement building. Won't be long.

Barbie is heading for 70 degree weather tomorrow, wish it would get here, but even 50's is better than nothing. Snow will melt away slow but sure. Not rushing it. Just means yard work when it does.

Guess better go and get cleaned up, make bed and get this day moving along here. Have a good one all.

Good Morning All, Clear skies and sunny here. Not very warm tho, only 56 this morning.
Hey Sue, saw where the word YOOPER is now in the dictionary! Took 10 years to get it there.
Off to visit the daughter today then basketball this evening.
I spent lots of time this morning reading and looking at pictures on the great blogs.

After almost 3 months of having Ronnie in bed, today we're doing a test run. We've got him in his wheelchair for a short period, then back to bed in a little bit to check & see how he did. We were worried about him getting dizzy, but so far he's okay. Next to check is to see if his bladder will work on it's on with out a foley.

Yes, it's been a really long time!
Because of the spinal cord injury, he has no muscle control for pushing his bladder. Normally it's a foley at night and external cath/leg bag during the day & his bladder just drains when it gets so much in it. Having a foley in for this long, you have to make sure that the bladder will still drain on it's on. He takes meds to relax the muscles controlling that.

A little late for coffee, but wanted to say Hi!

Got the roof on the van re-caulked yesterday. Decided I wasn't ready to tackle that with more rain headed our way & me leaving town this week. They did a nice job, but I'll do it next time - really wanted to use Eternabond stuff. At least it's done.

Wasn't on this morning since I started the wash, detail, wax job on the van at 9. Had a great overcast day to get it done & all the tools I needed:

Feel so good that it's protected & beautiful - doing this is truly an act of love. Doing it really discouraged me from ever considering a vehicle larger than this one! And I think I'll keep my day job.

Ava, keep us informed of your progress (which I know you will) - we are all soooo happy for you!
And yes, Carolb, glad you're getting to relax a little now. Enjoy!
Vicki, hope Ronnie's time up today is successful - can't imagine 3 months of being down.
And sorry I missed that breakfast, Irmi - sounded delicious!

Going to go study my antennae now - the folks who worked on the roof said it was configured wrong, but since it works, I didn't have them mess with it. While I've got the scaffolding up, I'll go take a closer look. :)
Later...

I got home from Galveston this afternoon. So glad I got ahead of the rain. Had a great time with my friends. There is so much to see and Galveston has so much history.

I'm not a beach person. The wind was really blowing all week so I had a week of wild hair. I thought about getting a hair cut before I went and I wish I had. It was so humid that anything you got wet stayed wet. I'll take my beach house on a lake please.
