Thanks for the information... Shadow got cut almost shaved for a reason which I found out he had flea "dirt" eggs... they started to hatch and I sprayed them with Adams... I cannot do any flea treatment for two weeks now... I found out he also has tape worm no doubt from the fleas... I gave him treatment yesterday and if I see any more can repeat in two weeks... He now has a sweater 'hoodie' to keep him warm...
Yesterday was getting things needed before I leave Ocala... I will take most things down like the cover on the front and the awning and stow away the chairs and dump the sewer tomorrow... and will get other things down so on Tuesday all I have to do is the electric... lol it seems like a job but not real hard anyway...
Most likely I will not have internet on the way home...
I kept my old Facebook and simply deleted any problem person...

Kathleen, you may need to treat Shadow's environment, too...meaning the rig. Fleas get in the "environment" and can easily reinfect. :?

Shaving a dog doesn't protect him/her from fleas - so that's still not an acceptable answer to shaving for me. And the clothing Shadow is now wearing, could hold in the fleas - so keep it washed frequently - if not holding in the fleas, the eggs with hatch in it and you'll be starting all over. Wash, wash, wash.

But, yes, make sure you don't have fleas jumping around in the rig.

Take everything one day at a time - including the drive back - and you'll be fine. Hope you have good weather for your travels.

Ooh! All this flea stuff is giving me the creeps! I brushed Rags, today, before giving the boys a bath, and saw a flea :o I picked it off of him to look at it and it jumped! I used flea type shampoo that smells like citronella and put flea stuff on both boys. I didn't see any on them during the bath. I plan to groom Rags, tomorrow. I sure hope I don't get any fleas in the carpet. I would hate to have to treat it. I don't even let my dogs lay outside, so buggers must hitch a ride as we walk.

I cooked for the park pancake breakfast again, this morning. I figure it is good for my resume' and I kind of like doing it.

My ribs seem to be getting a bit better, but have still had to take aspirin, now and then. Killer pain, when I get a tickle and have to cough  The worst is when I lay down to sleep and then every time I turn over, in the night.

Ken leaves, tomorrow, with my Tootsie Pop (my new toad) :D He should be here on Wed.

I use Sentinel for fleas and heartworm. It is a monthly pill and makes the flea sterile if it bites your dog. I've used it for years. Also you can wash Rags in Ivory dish soap or baby shampoo, either kill fleas, scary thought huh! Also should they get in your carpet you can get rid of them with salt. This link tells how. http://www.fleacontrolbook.com/naturalf ... leas-salt/
Sure hope you are well soon!

Put a flea collar in your vacuum cleaner bag to kill any fleas that you vacuum up.

Many years ago when my kids were teenagers and we had a dog, they spent two weeks at their dad's house, taking the dog with them. Unfortunately the dog came back infested with fleas. I bathed her in flea soap, but over the next couple of months, I had a terrible time getting rid of the fleas in my house and yard because she kept getting re-infected. I ended up bombing my house twice (once to get adults and later to get newly hatched fleas) and spraying the yard, per instructions from the vet.

I told my ex the kids could come visit but not the dog until he did the same to his house and yard. Apparently, the house he had recently bought had had several big dogs, hence all the fleas. What a nightmare! Made me feel crawly for months and months. No flea collars back then or little drops you could put on them.

Rant alert! Who is their right mind would think it is OK to play opera through outside speakers late at night? It is loud enough that I had to turn my TV up. Every other site in this state park is fairly close to one other site, so I got to be the lucky one. I walked outside and couldn't even see anyone sitting outside. Are they listening through the walls or are they sitting in the dark?

Weird.

Sometimes the outdoor speakers get turned on by mistake. If the power has been turned off to my camper (battery disconnected) and I turn the power back on, the stereo will turn on all 3 sets of speakers (living room, bed room and outside). It may be an annoying but honest mistake.

Now I feel really bad. I mentioned it to the camp host this morning who I met at the dump station. (Don't we meet people at the strangest places?) I told her not to bother saying anything, but apparently she did because the old guy came over when I pulled in from grocery shopping today and apologized. Apparently he is very hard of hearing and fell asleep. He did not realize his outside speakers were on.

I have an outdoor sound system, but it is completely separate and accessed only from the outside in a special small compartment.

amazing one week it's hot hot and the next the wind blows and it cools off today long pants, sweater even put on a sweat shirt when we went for a walk late in the afternoon...actually sitting here with the door closed and sweat shirt on guess I could close the windows but that is way too much effort!!! so came into the campfire get some of it's warmth
went to Vegas this past weekend my sister lives there plus when I was there in Jan saw this wooden box called a jewelry box and I thought hmm think I would like to make that for the granddaughter's graduation gift...so signed up for the class..but they never called so finally called and found out that the gal never checked back in. I said dang wanted to make it for the granddaughter yada yada she said why don't you bring a box in and we will assist you (it's a craft store emphasis on scrapebooking...so I said ok decided to go to Vegas as I said this past weekend....stopped into Havasue at Hobby Lobby and got a wooden box a bit bigger than the one that was displayed...when I got to the counter noticed that some of the corner protectors were missing I thought how did I miss that!!! showed it to them but didn't remember there being any more the size I got asked for a discount got it thinking about it later really think they must have fallen off on the journey to the check out counter  but in away so glad got new protectors at the craft store much nicer and the legs are elevated and weren't originally. all in all pleased with it....if I'd conquered the posting pictures would post one of it after I'd taken on...need to start getting ready to leave only 15 days left here on BLM land

by second Weds. I assume that means SS coming Ava it really helps I'm on the second weds as well but in May the month is almost half over before the second Weds. oops

Yep, second Wednesday was a good one and not only that but the federal refund
showed up as well. Tire arrangements are set for Friday and the power company
reads the meter tomorrow and is officially in my name now. The RV park is giving
me April, what a savings that is! Hope to get the fifthwheel moved and set on Saturday
