Actually, I think it'll be interesting to see the sparks fly between your 2 rigs... You know things can be pretty calm on the Kansas plains. ;) I'll make sure & have the rangers phone number on my cell in case we need to drag the lake.

I heard say all the campsites are now taken, but I don't know if that's just the row that all you gals have booked or the whole park. Have to check on the reservation system to see. I was poking around on it and since all the sites from 38 to 47 are taken, I'm looking down in the 20's. So it's a walk down the road, need the exercise anyway. So, anybody else coming that might want to join me down that way provided we can get in. Sites are water hookups and electric.

Hmmmm, Sue. I just went to the recreation dot gov map and I see that all the sites in the original loop are booked. I don't get it, as a couple of those sites were supposed to be walk-in only. Maybe because we're a larger group, they have made an exception?

Okay - a bit of time has passed since I typed the above paragraph. I just looked at the availability chart and 37 and 41a are both walk-ins and are shown as available on the chart, although not on the map.

Another suggestion is that quite a few of the original loop sites are available for several days prior to the actual start of the GTG, so if you don't mind changing sites toward the middle/end of the week, it could work that way.

Mitch, thanks for that info. It really doesn't matter though if I have to go down the road a bit. If any more people decide to join in, there will be more of us to squeeze in there anyway.

I was wondering though, since I haven't camped at COE before, if the 50 amp sites also have plugs for 30 as that's all I need. Or do I have to get an adapter to go from 30 to 50?

Hope you are going to have your new rig by then.

I better have my new trailer by then. If not, I won't be there as sleeping out in the open is not my cup o' tea!

I would call to see if there are both 30 and 50 on the post in your site.

You can always use a "PIG TAIL" to connect a 30 am plug to a 50 amp connection..... I would write more but I am busy making my reservations.... :)

Okay, I am back now. I have made a decision regarding my fall travel possibilities and decided that if I really do get a new rig, the least I could do is take it out for a travel adventures......

I have site #43 from Sept 14 thru 18

and site #27 from Sept 19 thru 22.......

Catherine, thank you so much for finding a campground where we can use our Senior Passes! :) :) What a fun way to camp!

Now to keep looking at those rigs out there.....

Hi All, pass the word, I have site #42 reserved from Sept 16th to 24th. If someone with a large rig wants that site, AND, someone else saves me site #47 or #41A, I'll trade. I won't get there until the 18th. lyn

Sites 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 are all 30A according the the Campground List. Usually if there is 50A there is also 30A, but not reversed. I'm so excited with all the people signing up!
