Sunday morning in Arizona

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday morning in Arizona

Postby avalen » Sun Mar 30, 2014 9:41 am

well good morning ladies,
its already late, where is everybody.
Breakfast is a quick banana and a cup of coffee, gets me on my way.
Family bbq today for daughters birthday.
Currently am catching up on a little laundry.
Scouted rv/mhp yesterday and pretty much decided the prices are up everywhere so will stay close by work and go back where I used to live.
Hopefully in a couple weeks they will still have space available for me.
Also looking at alternate plans for moving the fifthwheel as my friend that usually moves it for me doesn't have the hitch in the back of the truck since they got a new one. I know a few others and last alternative is to call "all over towing" . They will do it, it will just cost me more.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good morning Ava & everyone!

Ava, I'm so happy for you that you're getting so close to being out on your own again in your fifth wheel. Hopefully you'll find someone to put it into place for you without having to be charged to have that done.

We woke up to temperatures in the 50's this morning and we'll top off in the low 70's today and tomorrow we'll get back into the high 70's. We just got back from a quick trip to the grocery store. Steve wants a pizza for dinner so I needed to get the ingredients to make that.

Enjoy the last day of the weekend everyone!

Good morning.

So exciting that you are nearing you "move in" time, Ava.

A bit chilly this morning but looks like a nice sunny day on tap.
My to do list is still too long. Think I'll put it on strips of paper and start drawing them out of a job jar since most are about equal in priority. At least that way, I get a surprise on whats next each time.

Did you know there is a new approach for getting prices on some medical procedures? Check out http://medibid.com
"MediBid™ provides affordable quality access and choice in Health Care!
Our Doctor-Patient bidding system introduces true transparency and competition, making quality healthcare more accessible and affordable for you and your family!
MediBid is an online marketplace which is about quality, choice, and value. Many insurance companies show you no more than whether your doctor is “in-network” or not. MediBid allows you to see the training, education and experience of the doctor before you make your selection. The doctor’s profile, or bid, will usually include specifics such as how many of your procedure they perform per year."

Hope you have a great day

Mornin' gals! Up with the sun and out the door to take care of 2 sweet pups and 2 silly kitties! Back home now and wondering what's to do today as I seem to have some extra time. Maybe get on a project like sorting through what all I need to put back into the TC when I get her back on the truck (if that EVER happens, sometimes don't seem likely). Trying to plan a trip to Branson but that's not going well. Oh well such is life!
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Yesterday was warm and sunny..today not so much. Not sure what the temp today is supposed to be but not the beautiful 80 we had yesterday! Company coming from NJ Tues for a 4 day stay. She used to babysit my daughter and I kind of adopted her. She used to come down to Florida in the summer when I lived there. Busy getting ready for that. She's a widow also, lost her DH to mesothelioma a year before Jack passed.

Hmmm...Sarah, not to sure about that bid thing for medical procedures...if it's anything like low bid for the state that I used to deal with could be a little scary! LOL! Oh so sorry, did you not read the fine print on the bid? Anesthesia wasn't included, so just lay back while we remove your appendix, it'll just take a minute! I remember the hospital took low bid on needles one time..every single one of those things had barbs on them...hurt like the devil when we had to get our yearly blood tests! LOL!

Hope everyone stays warm and safe and have fun!!!

Good morning, everyone.

Sun is shining - supposed to get to mid-70's today. Woohoo! High winds predicted though - hope it doesn't dislodge a huge branch (about 20-30' long) onto power lines. This branch came down thursday evening & is lodged standing straight up next to another tree. Folks are coming to take the entire (dead) tree down tomorrow - just hope it holds. Called power company but they said it might take several days/possibly weeks before someone would come look at it.

Son reported that he felt the quakes in LA - I think he was a little unnerved by the number of aftershocks. Told him to have DIL put on the ruby red slippers, click their heels 3 times & say 'There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home', & they'd be immediately transported to Kansas.

Ava - so excited for you. Check Craigslist for someone to transport your 5er. I see ads for that all the time here.
Sarah, I like your 'to do' list idea. I, too, make lists - I just need a good incentive to really tackle them though. (like company coming)
Ginger, hope your trip comes together for you eventually.

Studying how to wash & wax my van. Asked a detailer about doing it - $300! :o :o Surely I can do it myself - just need an overcast day. Will experiment on the mini-van. :D
Hope everyone has a great day!

I did do that and came up with a few contacts, however the question of insurance and driving capability comes into play with that idea.
The couple friends I have I know are professional drivers and can back it in where needed, and I know for fact their insurance covers my fifthwheel, cause we discussed that. My insurance on the fifthwheel only covers it while its parked. That will change but for now, it is what it is. :D I also talked to a guy at LaMesa RV and he's getting me a contact name as well, if I don't hear back from him in the next few days I'll call him back.

Good Morning,

Beautiful day yesterday for a wonderful ride. Hawk's nest in a saguaro with babies was definitely the highlight of the day.

With the Verizon upgrade, I lost my unlimited data on my phone :( Will be cutting back on my Internet usage until I see how this month plays out. On top of that the park apparently lost its free WiFi. That will keep me from rambling on here!

Ava, I'm excited for you as you look forward to a new beginning.

Wishing all good things and safe travels.

Ava, with your skills and determination I have no fear that you won't find a solution for the towing.... :) You are talented and persistent. :)

Wow it is afternoon here in Ocala... just got back from taking Shadow to the field...
I will put some things away here today and finish tomorrow... then be on the road Tuesday... have Noah out with fresh batteries...
Shadow had fleas that is why they cut him so short... I got him a 'hoodie' sweater to keep him warm... he also has tapeworm and I have treated that also... sure is expensive... the flea and tick treatment I use every month is no match for the Florida fleas and bugs... This is the first time I have ever had to treat for fleas or tape worm... gives me the creeps!! lol
Ava you are right on schedule... I was wondering if one of your fellow bus drivers has a vehicle to pull the 5th for you...
Sarah sounds like your back is getting better...
Take care and if the sun is shining enjoy it!!!

Good Morning All, yes, it is still morning here. Big doings today at the East Village opening Day Block Party! Casey and Ihave been down there twice all ready this morning. I won't take her the next time I walk down as the noise is growing louder and louder as the morning progresses. I see persons all ready in the beer garden!
Ava, so happy for you and the progress you are making on the 5er. Sharon, yes I gotsite42. I just found your message on my phone. When did you call? Catherine, what happened to your daughters other job? Is she looking for something specific now? Sarah, Like your idea of drawing jobs out of a hat! It is amazing how much we have todo when returning from a vacation.
My Lady Vols are losing the basketball game right now. It is a very rough game!
A beautiful day for the start of baseball season! Lyn

About 2 weeks ago!! I can see how high I am on your priority list! If I didn't have so much going on up here I would come down and spend the day with you for the block party! Sounds like fun!

G'morning all! :)

Still a few mins before noon here in CA! Sounds like everyone has started out on a pretty good note this a.m. Anita, what's the "mood" there--& you really think I can do something about it  Sounds like you've had a few better days...

Another delay--guess maybe I'm meant to stay here till the "big one" arrives! Didn't feel the Fri night one, and only felt one of the 4.1 aftershocks yesterday afternoon. Anyway, cousin's parttime helper was out sick all last week, so we couldn't take off to CostCo for major shopping--no one to look after aunt...Looks like I'll be getting down to sis's by Wed. Lyn, I'll keep you posted on our gtg :)...

Right, many "newbies" joining us for MC! Hello to y'all, & sorry I've been remiss in welcoming you. Haven't been to "Introductions" in quite a while. On the road, being care-giver, trying to keep up with my three poopers

Y'all have a great afternoon/evening! Take care of those allergies--I'm taking my generic ClaritinD now. Tigg's still coughing now & then. Y'all be happy, healthy & safe wherever you are! 8-)

Great news, Ava, and I know that you like park. I remember visiting it - real nice. You might ask them if there is anyone there who might be able to move you for a fee? Some of the others there might have 5ers they pull. And, I think you'll be happier without a longer drive (and the expense that brings) to and from work ... more to save for traveling.

Beautiful day here in AZ - breezy, but feels great. I think AZ is greener than I've ever seen it - so much in bloom ... love it.
