It's Friday..and I'm doing better....

Ah, Ha!!....Yep, I'm doing better this morning....I've been suffering with BIG ALLERGY issues all week... Have been in this area every spring since 2007 and have never suffered so bad with the "green/yellow pollen" of the GA pines as I have this year...I mean, it's been so bad that I questioned weither it was allergies or a head cold, but it's just the allergy....but it has affected my bronchi (sp) to the point of hauling out the seldom use inhaler.... along with the allergy meds....Geez, I can't even go out side without sneezing and coughing.... and my poor nose is so sore from blowing it....can you tell I've been miserable.... Hopefully, it will all get a little bit better soon....Okay, I'm done with my whining about allergies.....

So what I'm trying to say is that I haven't been here in a few days...have done some reading to see what you all have been up to, but haven't felt like chiming in any....I'll try to do better soon...

So with a better outlook on today, I offer fresh coffee and my famous orange sweet rolls to start your morning....

Good morning Lori and all who follow.
Finally the snow is gone and it's raining. At least I don't have to shovel.
Plans for today include breakfast with neighbors then Spring Cleaning in the trailer.
I am definitely looking forward to first trip of the year in April. Not planning anything big, just down to Williamsburg for 5 days with DS. It's only 3 hours away with lots to do and see.

I need to get moving.

Good Morning Lori and all,

Sorry to hear you are having such bad allergies this spring Lori. Guess what is needed is a good heavy rainfall to wash all the pollen out of the air and to the ground. Our tune up here will come too, but not till probably late May early June, providing the snow is gone by then, We had some snow Wednesday night, nothing much happening here yesterday and then rain last night, which turned the side roads into skating rinks and closed all the schools. So they get an extra day of spring break. But will have more days to make up in June.

Not much doing here this morning. Need to go to town but am waiting for the weather to settle down. So will take a morning bath, wash hair and just go about it leisurely.

Cheryl, good luck with looking at the new truck. Seems like this is the year for new rigs, tow vehicles and everything else in between.

Thanks for making the muffins this morning. Wish I actually had one in my hand instead of virtually though So, just wanted to say hi this morning and wish you all a wonderful day out there.

Good morning, everyone! Another gloomy day here in IL, but tomorrow its supposed to be nicer and by Sunday sunny and 64!!

Heading to the Springfield RV show tomorrow with some friends, should be a good time, always fun to wander in and out of rigs I could never afford in a million years.

Lori - I've developed a mold allergy in the last six years that just kills me, whenever the farmers are in the fields they release it from soil in massive quantities. It has gotten so bad that even with the five medications I'm on it is still miserable. It had reached the point where we know we'll have to leave when we retire, there just aren't enough meds in the world to keep my lungs from filling up off and on seven months a year.

Back on my Nook this morning. Set up my new laptop last night and am SO frustrated with the Windows 8.1

I am headed to the library shortly to get a book on Windows 8.1 so I can try to figure it all out About had a nervous breakdown last night trying to deal with it!

My allergies have been bad too, but i have them all year long. Just get worse at certain times of the year. I am allergic to snow mold which is really bad now when the snow starts melting. When I lived in California, i never sneezed once the whole two years i lived there! That was SO nice!!

Good Morning... sun is shining and it looks like a good day from what I can see... got the problem fixed with the MH it was the battery switch... I taped it in the on position so it does not cause a problem again... glad it is done...
Oh Lori those allergies can be so hard on a person... my mom had them and one of my brothers and one of my sisters but I do not have a problem... hope it clears up soon...

Morning, all. I've gone from my dry-skin, no humidity, lots of pollen winter in Southern California, Nevada and Arizona, to 100% humidity here along the Texas coast! My allergies are definitely better but everything feels sticky in here. Too cool for AC, and not cold enough for heater, both of which would help humidity.

It's been windy and rainy here for the last few days, and heavy fog this morning, but it looks like the sun might come out eventually, so when it does, I will turn on AC for a while. I also need to get outside and wash the salt spray from my windows and windshield so I can see out.

I really like Galveston Island State Park. It is pretty away-from-it-all, but the beach is nice, at least when it isn't raining, and I do have a peek of the Gulf over the dunes. I rented a car for the week, so that has been nice. And there is a very nice Laundromat just down the road where I did three weeks of laundry yesterday. Watched the owner actually cleaning the inside of washers!!!

Heading down to Corpus Christi in a couple of days. Then back north and east and back to Michigan by the end of April to see my doctors and dentist.

Great visit last evening with Beth and she even made dinner Maggie was beside herself with glee when I finally got home from work. But she is such a good girl and handled the extra couple hours properly. Got my taxes filed yesterday, efiled, and hopefully
will see my refund by next weekend. This weekend (tomorrow) I have a couple rv/mobile parks to check out. Don't want too exclusive and don't want too junkie, but 55Plus community is a must. Time for the great escape is approaching fast. Just waiting for the tax refund at this point
Breakfast is done, yummy bacon n egg crescant and almost time for my nap. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Lori so sorry for your bad allergies. Guess I won't plan a trip to that area during pollen season since I am allergic to pine! Have you tried NeilMed sinus rinse? I get my boxes at Costco. Each box has two plastic bottles with rounded irrigation tip and 250 packets of buffered salt. You mix a packet of salt in bottle and add water and bend over sink and rinse nose. I have used it for years but ESP this really bad and early pollen season here in northern Ca I have found in addition to rinsing morning and night, if I rinse when I come in for outdoors I get a lot of relief as it removes pollen I just breathed. Has made a good difference for me.
The saying here is if you don't yet have allergies you haven't lived here in the valley long enough!

Judy, don't leave too soon there will be about 15 of us coming to Galveston next week. My sister and I and Vickie B will be there this Sunday and the rest will start arriving on Monday. We are staying at Jamaica Beach RV Resort.

Our weather can't decide whether to rain or not. We have about had enough rain.

I didn't think I had allergies until my trip to Seattle. There were several areas that I passed through that made me feel so bad I thought I was coming down with the flu. Thank goodness I'm not bothered at home. My son is really suffering. He has had skin allergies since he was a baby and now he allergic to a lot of things.
