Thursday warming trend

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thanks for the road info, Vickie. I am picking my sister up in DeRidder. I haven't decided if I will come down to I-10 or head across country from DeRidder. The last time I tried 190 to Beaumont I didn't think the road was very good. It would probably be faster to come down to I-10. I get bored taking the same roads so I never know which way I'm going.

Got a lot of rain this morning and then it turned to snow in the afternoon. The flakes were ginormous! They were all the size of golf balls and bigger  It was beautiful, but resulted in two inches of mush on the roads and parking lots. Now it is freezing  . It is also incredibly windy tonight. I can hear things blowing around and crashing and banging outside. Such is the crazy weather in MN in March!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I have a couple of friends here who are trying to sell their house... to move to Minneapolis! I think they're insane; one is 41 the other 50 and their daughter is 14, and they want to move from insane cold and some snow to insane cold and a TON of snow!

The summers ate nice if you don't mind bugs and humidity :D

OMGosh - I hate eating bugs. I've never found a recipe that did them justice.

Sarah has your family thought about moving to Colorado to get medical marijuana for your niece? I have seen a couple of wonderful detailed programs on the benefits of some of the contents of the plant for people on chemo, people with epilepsy (especially kids) and people with other debilitating diseases. Until the rest of the country catches on to the dramatic benefits of the cannabis plant, whether eaten, sipped as oils, or smoked, it might be something to consider. I believe it was CNN who sponsored the programs I saw. The results of using the drug are amazingly dramatic!
