Monday on the West Coast

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday on the West Coast

G'morning all! :D

Well, an East Coaster may be posting as I write this, but, surprise--I'm here early  My "patients" are still sleeping--I have to be awake by 4:30 to get time to myself to get on-line. Once the day starts (for them, it's at 5:30!), it's just go go go & then the day is gone!

Oh my, I too am caught off guard by peoples preparing to head back north after their winter respites. Still don't know what I'll do after I leave here & get my time in AZ. By then it'll be mid April, & like BJ said, it may still be winter until July ! So why hurry to get back to NY???

Thanks for well-wishes for Tigg! He's back to normal, after one week of antibiotics. Don't know what caused his lung congestion--could have found out for only $3000 worth of tests! (not a typo, that's three thousand!). I'm thinking his seasonal allergies just got out of hand--I wasn't very diligent about giving him his benadryl. Smart of you Lori to stay inside when so many pollens/allergens are in the air!

Coffee is hot! Y'all have a great day, be safe always! 8-)

Sunny but Chilly Morning

Postby Colliemom » Mon Mar 24, 2014 7:32 am

Good Morning from the chilly 45th,

-6 here this morning. Way too cold for this time of year here. But the sun is out and it will warm things up into the 20's they say. Even at that, there is melting going on slow but sure.

Heading to town later this morning. Want to get lumber to start Camping signs, need to run a couple of errands as well, then will head home and maybe putter with woodburning kit. Got a learning curve coming up there. First time.

Thinking about summer and heading west. Starting to look at maps and decide which way and exactly where too. Course way too much to see in a period of time. Figure as long as friend and I are talking heading to SD to Custer, I want to take in the Badlands as well and then being so close, would like to head out to Yellowstone. Can't make reservations or set up time frame as yet since she has to wait till she gets her son moved to his new apt. hopefully first part of May. I think I would like to avoid the middle part of summer as that's usually the hottest and also most crowded. Anybody else heading out that way this summer?

Also debating as to whether or not to make reservations for the KS GTG in Sept. now or wait till later.
So am going to get my act in gear here and move along. Hope you all have a nice day out there.

Morning! 18 here this morning, supposed to get up to 37 toady, we'll see.

Had an interesting conversation this morning (my honey and I tend to have our best ones right before we leave for work), since we want to retire early we thought it would be a good idea to start trying to live on our retirement income; so starting next paycheck everything goes into savings except the amount we'll earn when we retire! We'll still dip into it as needed, but we'll keep a record of any savings withdrawals to try and get a sense of what our actual expenses are. We've always had a budget sheet so we have a good idea what our bills are, but it doesn't really count the extras.

Good Morning All, low of 59 and high of 65* here today. Vera, you understand what I was talking about yesterday. The cement covered all the rebar they had laid down! I'm guessing this is the strong footing for a 15 story building.
March madness well under way. Stanford beat Kansas yesterday, sorry Catherine and kids.
Have a great day, lyn

We had hail here last night and then it rained most of the night. We have a metal roof and carport so it was really loud. The cats didn't know which way to go. I didn't go see how big the hail was but DH said it wasn't very big. It's 50 this morning. Our weather is going to be up and down all week and back to 80 by the weekend.

I have been waking up about 4:00 the last 4 morning and not being able to go back to sleep. That's so aggravating. If I do finally go back to sleep one of my DH's friends will call and wake me up. I was doing the same thing last weekend when I was camping.

Better get moving and get some things done so I don't have everything to do on Friday. I'm good at putting everything off until the last minute.
