Snowy Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Snowy Saturday

Postby Colliemom » Sat Mar 22, 2014 10:08 am

Good snowy morning to you all,

What! It's almost 11 a.m. here and not one person has gotten up to start the coffee this morning. Yoohoo, wake up out there, it's way past daylight in the swamps. A bit of a light snowy daylight here, nothing major, but none the less, still the white stuff. Go away. Sorry to say, but mid week there's another clipper coming down and going to head all the way south as far as mid FL they say, so don't put your long johns away yet.

Not much doing here today. Waiting for the gal to come get the TV unless she forgot about it. Her life is pretty hectic, so who knows.

Spent yesterday at two different RV dealers. Have eye on one possibility, but won't do anything now till around end of next month when they get in the ones they have on order and snow is hopefully gone from the parking lots. In the meantime will work on getting new tow vehicle, which is on agenda for next Tuesday. Also have a couple of suggestions from friend on "remodeling" my current TT and she offered to come up and help me with it. We shall see which way it goes. I can now get into it, as the snow has gone down enough around it go access my door, after I unbuckle the cover clips underneath. So maybe the next nice mild day we have, might crawl in and look over situation. Have dinette, want couch.

So other than that, that's all from me today. CArol, I hope youe eye is getting better and also Sarah, hope that back issue is getting better as well. Nan, I hear you are venturing north to IN later this spring. Where about's are you going?

Good morning Sue, Ava & everyone!

Sue, sorry you're getting more snow again but hopefully you can manage to get into your TT to see what work you want to do to it.

Ava, I know you must be chomping at the bit to get back in your fifth wheel. It won't be long now.

Carolb, glad to hear Tigger is improving.

Kathleen, when will you be leaving to start your trip north? I'll call you to see if we can get together before we both leave.

It's warm and clear in Ocala this morning and the highs will reach into the upper 70's. I'm still keeping an eye on the weather for the east coast as we don't want to get caught in extreme cold or snow. We still have a little time before we start heading north.

I'll put another pot of coffee on if anyone would like some. Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning, I don't think spring is going to arrive this year, we'll just go right into summer. It was 70 yesterday and today back to low 40's with possibility of snow later in the week :? I see one daffodil in the yard and I'm going to pick it before the 22 degree temps arrive...
Carol I'm glad to hear Tigg is on the mend, did they figure out what was causing his cough? This month is vet month for our crew $$$ :( I can't believe how the cost has gone up just in the last couple of years. Next week Toby goes for his shot and check up then Friday Andy and Winnie get their teeth cleaned.
I've already been to the farmers market and I have nothing planned for the rest of the day, except chores. I have one dog left to bathe and I'm not looking forward to it. Maybe someone will call and tempt me with an outing.
Hope you will soon be free Ava!!

Not much going on here. It's 75 already but looks like it could rain. We have another cold front coming but most of it will slide off to the East so we won't get the worst of it.

Sue, you and your projects and my cats finally inspired me to fix the shelves in my closet. This house came with one 12" shelf and 3' of wasted space in the closets. Every time the cats can get in a closet they jump up on the shelf and knock everything down. I put a wire shelf to widen the bottom shelf and installed another shelf above it. I still need to fix the hall closet but need to buy another wire shelf.

I need to get myself together and go bring my GPS to my son to update. His internet is a lot faster than mine. I'm leaving next Saturday to pick up my sister and we are going to Galveston for a week. I hope the weather is warm. The campground has a hot tub. I have stayed in some campgrounds that have hot tubs but most of the time they don't work.

Over the years I have planted daffodil bulbs quite a few times and nothing ever came up. I think the squirrels would dig them up. Last year I cheated and bought some that were flowering at Walmart and planted them. This is the first year that I have had any bloom.

I am careening around on the loose right now. I left Melbourne, FL for Orlando to see friends, now I am the token fruit loop in Brunswick, GA. I am headed to my future get together at Hunting Island state park in South Carolina, where so far only one other person has signed up. Now that I am arriving there a few days early thanks to my spot suddenly opening up with more days available, I can't seem to reach the other attendee to tell them I am coming early. Oh well. Will see them when I get there, assuming they get there too!

I heard spring was postponed up north and will arrive sometime in July for 2 days...

You couldn't pay me a million bucks to freeze all winter. These Caribbean bones just can't hack it. One day in Melbourne Florida this past winter, I got so cold I had to wear triple pants and three sweaters plus a huge overcoat and fur lined boots just to walk my dog. My northern snowbird RV neighbors were running around in shorts laughing at me. But it was COLD.

Redetotry - amen sister, I think winter has decided to stay forever, it is soooo cold today!!

We got our new Subaru Forester this week, and I had a bunch of little things to do to it, I put on the new fisheye mirrors and changed out the license plate frame... and way too cold to be outside doing anything with a tool.

Afternoon all. Been a crazy week. Went to renew my i.d. card the other day at the Army base and kinda went into a funk. The last day trip and lunch out DH and I took before he passed was to renew my card. Didn't think it would hit me so hard. And besides that, BIL is still in the hospital, up and down. Feels so much like what I went through. Crazy how little things can throw me off. But with that being said I am getting back to myself and moving on. Had a few days of sun but still to cold to get out in the yard to play in the flower beds so did stuff inside. Got the frig cleaned out and some cupboards rearranged. Plus went after the office room and purged more papers! More to do but making some headway. I bought a new toy for the RoadTrek too. I bought an ice maker. My frig is small and I never have enough ice so I hope this'll work. It's heavier then I thought but since I try not to carry to much weight orherwise I figured I'd see how it works. Just not sure yet where it'll find a home when I'm moving. Guess I'll just have to rearrange stuff again! They are talking snow again for this week. Yuck! Been exciting to read about all the new rigs, congrats! And add my welcome to all the new members. Have a good day, stay warm and travel safe.
