First Counted Cross Stitch Embroidery Project

Postby monik7 » Wed Mar 19, 2014 12:03 pm

With encouragement from Lori (rvgrammy1953), I'm posting my first counted cross stitch embroidery project. Some suggested I start with small pre-printed projects. Unfortunately I'm too impatient for that. On to a major project! Lori says I'm her "first" student. She was kind enough to put a photo of my son, Joshua, through her computer program to produce a pattern. The actual embroidery took 31 days averaging 7 1/2 hours per day. I'm not patient enough to take my time with any art projects which is what necessitated my finishing it as soon as possible. I prefer this embroidery to be viewed from a little distance so the colors blend.

Wow, Sandi! Beautiful! You jumped in with both feet as far as I'm concerned and did a wonderful job. I never liked the preprinted projects.

Oh wow, Sandi!! That is awesome! I don't have the patience to do any kind of embroidery, knitting, crochet...any of that stuff. What a woman! Lori, great job in getting her started and helping! Your son was beautiful, just like his mom.

Beautiful job Sandi. My sister was the same way, she would just go for it when learning a new craft. The size of the project didn't bother her, she figured she could learn doing the project she wanted just as easily as a beginner project. I hope that isn't your last project. Linda
