I wanted to get far enough away from you and the Doofus to be out of danger of flying objects. The last time I camped between you two I was threatened with water balloons! Besides, I booked before I saw your post....Looks like it's gonna be a hike. Good exercise for me and the Chewmonster.

Melissa, what site were you trying to get? And for how many nights? I'm still showing a lot of them available.

I was looking at #42 across from the play ground. It shows available but when I went to pay for it, it said it was not available. It would let me have #39. If someone gets #42 I'm willing to swap with them. It had some message about some sites could not be reserved online or something like that. Like things better when I just talk to someone....

We plan to arrive Thursday and stay till Monday so 4 nights.

Although, going back to the recreation dot gov site, it says "BOOK THESE DATES". It wanted me to log in. I didn't want to do that and accidentally get the site.

Lyn (socalgal) sent me a note she was having trouble booking her site, too. I had trouble until I backed up a day, then it went right thru.....but I'm retired I can come a day earlier. Lyn said she didn't mind a dry spot so I told her if she couldn't get the site she wanted to just wait and I would try and get it for her when I got there or we could move my car into someone else's site and she could just park in my site with me, it's plenty long enough and we'd just tell the ranger I towed her in! LOL!

I think the little triangles by the a's just mean that it's outside the 6 month booking window, but if your start date is within the window, you're okay. Melissa, try calling the campground & see if they can move the site # for you. (620)767-5195.

I have site #46, Friday, Sept 18 for 4 nights. May stay longer depending on what grandkids have going on during the week.

I just booked #45 coming in late Thursday (9/18) booked for 5 nights.
This is so exciting!!
None of these (sites 38-47) are very far from each other.
What fun we're going to have!

I can switch to a smaller site if needed, but since those aren't as likely to get booked, I thought I'd take this one for now. If anyone needs this size, I can move to 44 (30') & you can have this one, just let me know.
