Saturday Morning...Top of the morning to ya'

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday Morning...Top of the morning to ya'

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Sat Mar 15, 2014 4:52 am

Good morning.....another full night's sleep....things are getting better in that department lately for me....which makes me a happier and more rested camper.... ;)

A little chance of rain today, but won't let it spoil my day and plans of doing a little house-cleaning and then a little crafting of crochet items....

We went out with the crew here last night for dinner on post....16 of us enjoyed "Bistro Night" at the "Club"....this is a "every Friday night" event and we "the crew" have attended this and the entertainment after of music so often, that they now reserve a large table area for the "Campground" :o ;) ;) Lots of fun....

Okay, coffee is ready and some mixed fruit with yogurt for ya'll...

Have a great day....

Good morning Lori, Vera & everyone who wakes up later...

Lori, sounds like Friday nights are fun nights & glad to hear you're sleeping better.
Vera, Hang in there, sounds like you're nearly done (2 months to go) until you can head out elsewhere. Focus on future plans & the time should fly.
Mickie, I hope you're doing ok.
Sarah, safe travels back home
Nancy & Mitch, I hope you each enjoy your new TTs.
And Liz, the kids that had you as a teacher surely lucked out!! So glad we've got you & so many others teaching us about the marvels of the places we can visit.

We're enjoying a bit of springtime (60's-70's) yesterday & today in KS - winter returns tomorrow (30's & snow) but just for the day.

Getting the van out for the season this morning. Granddaughter is in gymnastics meet this evening & son thought it'd be fun to go in the travelin' van. It's about 3 hours away so the kids will have fun getting there & then we'll have a place to hang out if we need a break from the meet. I'm watching the weather forecast closely - not a fan of driving at night in the rain, but we'll be on familiar highways so we should be fine.

All of the kids are coming in nesxt week - California crew late Wednesday night, Texas crew on Friday - can't wait to have everyone together again. That's the other reason to keep the travelin' van out (actually they consider it the 'party' van   ).

Well, I'd better get movin' - lots to do, so little time. :D
I hope you all stay safe out there.
Take care,
Catherine

Good Morning, The sun is out and I"m waiting for a friend to come by to go with me to the Farmers Market. I'm out of spinach and after having the locally grown all winter I'm spoiled for the shipped in variety from the store.
Finally Elsie is home from the garage & ready to go with THREE new batteries and a reconnected wire to the alternator that burned  plus a few other minor adjustments. I was advised to drive her at least every two weeks something I would do in normal weather but this winter has been far from normal. There were times when we were lucky to have one vehicle dug out!
Need to get the dogs fed and my ready on. Safe travels to those on the road.

Good morning everyone!

Lori, glad to hear you're sleeping better.

Vera, it won't be much longer and you'll be moving on down the road.

Catherine, that is so exciting that the family is coming in for a visit.

BJ, glad to hear Elsie is home. Hopefully the weather will be such that you can take her out for a spin on a regular basis.

It's 46 in Ocala this morning. It was warmer than that at our home in MD. What is wrong with this picture? At least it'll warm up this afternoon and not get quite so chilly tonight. The campground is having a St. Patrick's Day potluck Monday and I plan on making a Shepherd's Pie, so I need to go out and get a bag of potatoes. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone! Had a great day yesterday, the sadness comes and goes, but spending the day doing some things around the place that have been long neglected due to lack of time was wonderful. I still can't quite wrap my head around the idea of having any free time at all.

Today will be spending time in the garage and lightening the load some more!! It's supposed to hit 55 here today so that will be nice.

Hope everyone has a super day!

good morning ladies
well, the car is home and parked in the carport, minus the tags. I took them off and soon as we get a few more $$ we will run over
to do the title thing. Signed an affidavit stating I wouldn't let any unlicensed drivers drive the car and it stated consequences, made
son read it. So, now that that is done, I'm broke again. $150 for the impound, then $210 for the storage yard. Glad I got my bills paid
before I did that. I have enough left to do gas and groceries for myself for the week, the second week,,,,,,,,I'll have to tap into my debit
protection benefit at the bank, it will cost me but at least I'll have groceries for myself until payday. The $210 for the storage yard was a
big surprise, hadn't considered that much. Another chapter in my life is closed and on to the next one. (will forever beat myself up over this)

Will get laundry done today, although there isn't much, I did alot of wearing jammies and loungers this week so those need to get washed.
Will run to costco and get my gas and stop at the grocery store for a few staples. That pretty much covers today.

@Vera, hang in there, you'll be on the road soon.

@Red, get well soon Tyler

Ya'll have a great day and be safe as I dream about the day I get my total move done. :D (its right around the corner now)

Mornin' ladies! Good to hear things are looking up for some of you who have been down lately.

Been up since about 4am, puppy needed to go out PRONTO, sick tummy! Don't know what he got into, hopefully it's nothing more than a passing thing.

Got a few things going today, bank, groceries then more visits with my current client, Dutchie the beagle. What a character he is! And he can sure use those soulful beagle eyes on you, makes you just want to stay and cuddle with him all day!

Starting with my good friend's horses tonight, they are nice girls and no trouble at all. Next few weeks are looking busy for me.

With all this melting and warmer weather I am sooooo very tempted to take the tarps off my TC and get it on my truck. But I think I'd better wait just a while yet. This year's weather has been so up and down I'm sure I'd just get it dumped on with snow!

Have a great day, everyone!
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

For those of you not on Facebook, here's the Mobile Marlin departing for its new home in Arkansas...
Good looking rig combo, no?
I am now trailer-less (but only for a short while).

Been here in Elephant Butte State Park for a few days and am a bit disappointed because I heard such wonderful things about it. Mostly, I guess Lake Pleasant near Phoenix and a couple of other places I have been recently spoiled me. Anyway, it is an OK place, and I am mostly busy getting things ready for next semester and the last set of papers graded for the current semester, so lots of work to keep me busy. Have three more days here and then on through Texas.

I am a bit afraid to ride my bike until I get it fixed in Michigan. When I fell a couple of weeks ago, something happened to the accelerator control and it was first stuck open. I put some WD40 on it and got it working but I just don't trust it. It is very dusty and windy around here anyway, which is not optimum bike riding, so I will stay inside and force myself to get work done. Boring. :(

Will be glad to get back on the road Tuesday morning.

A little late for morning coffee but I'm doing a happy dance!

A sure sign of Spring - - - RV's on the move. Saw 2 A class, 4 TT's & 6 5ers on I-80 heading west!! And road construction too - always a big sign

Ran to Staved Rock again today, and down to 1 bald eagle, which is a good sign. The rest of them are on the move back north.

Very tired tonight! Worked almost 10 hours today! :o I have tomorrow off tho, so that will be nice! I went out last night to get a new pair of work shoes since mine were killing my feet. After wandering the mall for hours and trying on a ton of shoes, finally found a pair at Sears for a good price and fit great, so that was very helpful for today with the long hours standing on my feet. :D

I was awakened the other morning by a flock of honking geese out on the lake. They were gone yesterday, so must be making their way further north, but they are the first ones I've seen so far this season. Hopefully, we will have an early spring so I can try out my new tent and kayak! And my golf league starts in 6 weeks (hopefully  )!

Have a good evening! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Just a quick check in as I'm too tired to even type after driving almost 9 hours today - my longest ever drive in Magic. I made it all the way to Montgomery, AL and will ride out the approaching storm here. Weather permitting, will head out to Huntsville on Monday.

There were signs of spring all along my drive today - dogwoods, red buds, pear and other flowering trees in bloom, even saw some buttercups along the roadside. Think all those blooms lifted my spirits enough to keep going - well that and wanting to get as far north as I could before the storm hit.

Found nice park with relatively level gravel pull thru sites, dog park, Internet and a bonus I wasn't expecting - cable TV. Another surprise was 24 hour security patrol who stopped by to say hello and see if I needed help with anything. Of course I had just finished hooking up, which I'd rather do myself anyway but thought it was a nice gesture.

Off to find something to eat in here and just chill for 24 hours.
