Hi all, just thought I'd check in with you since you were so kind to give me encouragement as well as let me barge in at the get together in Mesa
I'm in waiting mode right now. I haven't been able to find a trailer here in AZ so I'm waiting until I get back to Montana in April to look for one. It seems like I might have more of a chance of getting a more cold weather friendly trailer there. I have been looking at inventory of dealers online and have seen more than a few there with a polar, arctic, or rocky mountain package (aka, enclosed underbelly, extra insulation, thermal pane windows, and heated tanks). I did go to a dealer to look at Nash travel trailers but I will not go back there again. Long story but the salesman lied his butt off and even though he acted like my best buddy (including talking about his family and how the dealership is like a family too), he tried to sell me a trailer much bigger than I was wanting and even though they had a 17' Nash advertised online they didn't have one on the lot (can you say bait and switch). He also told me that prices were set by the manufacturer so there was no room for negotiation on price unless they had a sales price they were offering. I've read enough to know that's total bull. I even emailed the author of a book on buying rv's and he confirmed what I was thinking that this salesman was lying to me. Oh well, at least I know not to go back there.
In the meantime I'm reading information online and a few books about rv's in preparation for when I have mine.
Waiting but not discouraged (well maybe a little but not bad).
