Rain in forecast today followed by cold again - as in freezing in north FL.

Good Morning Sarah and all who will soon be here. It was almost 80 here yesterday but was just a teaser, cold wind and possible flurries for today. I have a massage to look forward to this afternoon though so I won't complain. I also FINALLY had news from the garage where Elsie has been for several weeks. She obviously isn't a priority as thankfully there weren't that many problems. Once more I have new batteries, she didn't put in the sealed one I wanted as there was so much warranty left on the two that went bad over the winter.
My friend from Florida will be visiting in the area next week so looking forward to seeing her.

swimming lessons. Maybe I'll learn how to do a video on my phone, last time I tried, I failed.

Like Redetotry we had a nice warm day yesterday... but woke up this morning to snow, ice, and 29 degrees. The joy of Illinois in the Spring.

Good Wed morning all. it was such a beautiful day yesterday! Went outside and cleaned up after the dogs in the backyard and actually got warm in a light jacket! Ah, it felt so good! Today back to gloomy sky, rain and snow later. At least if I have to shovel I have someplace to pur it since most of the piles melted. Guess we won't have piles in July...at least I hope not! Bought some pretty strawberries from Oxnard CA yesterday. Remember when we use to buy then right from the fields when we lived there. Yum! So will fix them later and maybe make some shortcake for them. After I have a few now for breakfast. No other big plans for today. Need to get into my painting project upstairs at some point. I keeep finding other things to do and keep putting it off. Maybe today's the day...or not! So for now it's more coffee and strawberies while I think about it! Have a great day, everyone.

Dentist appt this morning, always such a joy to go. Not. Weather has been outstanding the last week. Supposed to be a little cooler the rest of the week but still nice. Chewy is still limping along. Seems like she starts to feel better and then does something stupid like try to chase the Samcat and she ends up flat on the floor screaming. If she keeps doing it I'm gonna have to crate her or leash her to me, not something either one of us enjoys. I don't want her walking that much and for the most part she's pretty good about keeping her down stay.

A little cooler today here in MN than the past few days but the sun is out. It is March, so we can plan on more snow storms coming along. Our snow piles have come down quite a bit too, and the ice and crud is finally off the parking lots and roads. I heard that the ice on the lakes around here is up to 5 feet thick! That will take a long time to melt! Also the frost is up to 6 feet down in the ground this year, as well. I ordered a cherry tomato plant from a neighbor selling them for the boy scouts, yesterday. I don't get a lot of sun on my balcony so I don't know how good it will grow, but we'll see. Will get it around Mother's Day.

I found a kayak on sale that I really want. I think I will pick it up tomorrow if I can, before work. Will have to store it at my dad's for now until spring. It is a 10' red and white Pelican hard sided kayak on sale for $200...

Also looking into places to go camping this summer. Hoping spring comes early!

Barbie, Chewy blew her back right knee out last week. She was chasing one of our feral cats across the yard when she did it, but now that I look back I think it's been coming on for a long time. Doc said it's gonna be a long slow painful recovery. sigh.

My whole lower jaw is completely numb 3 1/2 hours after the dentist...I may never be able to eat again.
