Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss. Big hugs coming your way.

As to retiring, I bought my little rv at the young age of 52 and only intended to take a years leave. Hah, here I am 9 years later. Healthier, happier, poorer... And I wouldn't change a thing. Ms. Orman would be cringing. It was the right decision for me. Of course I do workamp but that is something I truly enjoy, most of the time.

Think about what will work for you.

I'm sitting here thinking about mom. She passed peacefully and wasn't in pain, so I'm very grateful for that. I spent her last day with her, she was unresponsive most of the time but did reach out to touch me and hold my hand a few times, we got to say we loved each other and then she just slept until she passed. I'm happy she is done suffering, but sad for the loss.

As far as the possible RV goes, we won't make any decisions for a few months. We need to decompress and figure out what's next without mom in the picture. My honey and I both pretty adventurous so I won't be surprised if we take the leap; and she has the possibility of telecommuting, that would make it a no-brainer.

Mickie I am so sorry for the loss of your mom, but I am also very happy for her that she died peacefully and without the agony of hanging on and on. It was wonderful that you were there with her for her last day and that she seemed to know it when she reached out to you.

Welcome back, and maybe I will be present more often than I have been lately. I keep saying that, but somehow never seem to get here.

Hugs to you.

I'm so sorry for your loss.. Take the time now for yourself. As you and others have stated, you have had quite a time of it and need time to decompress. This decision will be there in a few months time, so take whatever time you need before deciding. All the best to you. Linda
