enjoy looking at rocks and 'seeing' formations in them so with that in mind go to the Mexican jay and then up two pic's ...looks like a rock couple he has his arm around her and has his head on her shoulder so may be it's the other way around
enjoyed the trip so very nice to see that area...
if you make it to Jackson WY look for the Indian Head and just out side Mount Rushmore I think we found an elephant... one day my grandpa said have you seen the steer? No can't say that I have...so he showed me the steer and by golly there it was but its elusive can only see it in the winter when the snow is just right

Another great history lesson. What a loss of life after the "Bascom affair". I found myself in tears as I drove across New Mexico last summer thinking about the tradegy of the American indians & the battles that took place & stripped them of their lands & lifestyles.

Loved the rock formations - can you imagine growing up & living among this environment?

I just loved this latest post. I have a fascination with all things Native American. This post and others you've done on the southeast part of Arizona have really given me some ideas on places to visit on my way back from the Midwest in July. So thanks for letting us in on all your adventures.
