Mickie, so sorry about your mom, and yes, plenty of warm thoughts and hugs going out to you as you make this oh so difficult decision about her. My mom was here one minute and the next morning she was gone so I didn't have to deal with what you are dealing with. Same with my grandma, my sister and I took care of her after mom passed and she just went peacefully in her sleep 6 months after mom.

I took early retirement at 56 but I was lucky (if you can call losing your dear husband lucky) in that I had enough time in with the state and my husbands business to be able to. Think long and hard, but also do research as Tina suggested about on-line teaching. JudyJB does that to suplement her income.

I am sorry to hear about your mom. I have been thru that with my mom and now with my dad.

I will just say "where there's a will, there's a way". Do your homework, but don't let your fears stop you from doing what your heart wants to do. Life is short and there are no guarantees!

Thanks for all the thoughts and opinions, I appreciate them.

And thank you for the caring words about my mom, she passed away a little while ago. I loved her so much and will miss her always.
