Oh my goodness! I just saw something that I haven't seen for months! A patch of ground with no snow on it!!

I think this year I love mud!

With all the snow we have here, I won't be seeing the ground until July! We have snow piles that are up to 20 feet high! Right now I love slush! (means it is above freezing finally!)

Oh my goodness, Barbie, 20 feet of snow! We have lots of 10-foot piles here (still), but I haven't seen anything that tall.

The bare spot had very thin snow cover because of wind patterns. I don't care -- it's still bare ground!

The William is going a little crazy with all the scent released by this thaw. Yesterday he smelled something deep in a drift and stuck his head in all the way to his ears. I wish I'd had a camera with me for that one. Silly boy!

Spring break. Please pray for me! RVs just moved in on either side of me. Thank God, the boys are getting used to all the commotion! I'm so ready to get out of here! They had me go help housekeeping on Fri, so I go over to help get the new cabins that are rented for the weekend ready (that Bob and I set up). The head of housekeeping sends me to one of the full time gals and she hands me a rag and a can of scrubbing bubbles. She wants me to clean a whole cabin with that This place is a zoo I talked with activities and told them I want to help out there. They are going to request me. We will see what happens. I guess I can always leave. This house has wheels and I know how to use them

Had to move the campfire up. It is a cold and very windy evening in New Mexico. In fact, I have not been outside all day because of the dust/sand storm, not even to take out my trash. No one boating on Elephant Butte Lake or on the beach or even walking around. You can see huge clouds of sand blowing over the lake. At least I got a lot of work done. I need to dump my tanks tomorrow, so going to take myself out to breakfast since I have to pack up to move to the dump station. Need to find a good breakfast place!

Can you tell I am really getting tired of my own cooking?

it's windy here today as well!!! very windy no walk not that the sand/dirt was blowing but I hate fighting the wind so walked just up the road and back so that Shadow would do his 'thing'...trying to decide when to leave here my daughter called and said "mom I'm having a death by chocolate pampered chef party on the 12 I said you want me to leave a week early??? so now have to decide how to do it if I can ...I have to consider when the income is and when the out going is for two months she doesn't quite understand this..oh well we will see...it was a good day choir practice and since my friend had offered me her shower and washer decided to take her up on it (friends of mine had been supplying me with water this winter they are leaving Monday so really have to conserve water for the next month...I have gallon containers that I can either try pouring into the tank or just use them for washing dishes flushing the toilet ect ) and we went to lunch then home I came and had a nap...good thing to do on a windy day right???

I did get to move to activities I go in M-F to drive the Jellystone Express Train and relieve people for lunches in the activities center. It has been a great fit and I actually look forward to going to work. It will look good on my resume', too. Still crazy here, with spring breakers.

I had a phone interview for Adventureland, this morning. Don't know if I told you, but I was told (by email), by my MI bosses, to seek employment elsewhere. Nothing I said or did, but guess I was making too much Um...think it was because I had 3 jobs there? Hmmm. So, they think it will cost them less to hire 3 different people and provide 3 FHU sites? Their loss. Soooooo....decided I need to spend some time with my DM, back in IA.

Bob came back, today. They closed his gate, so he decided not to wait around for another. He plans to stay for a couple of weeks, then take the RV Maintenance Course in Houston. Sounds like he may be working in activities

Ken is leaving the end of this month and heading here. He will be bringing my new-to-me toad I'm excited to see them both He will help me get Myrtle road worthy and hopefully, caravan with me for part of the trip. I may be going via TN, to change my residency. SD and IA affordable ins plans aren't RVer friendly, as they don't have providers out of state. TN has BCBS, which does. Vehicle registration is cheap, too. My DL is due for renewal in June, so may as well go take care of it.

Have a sore throat and have been taking Zycam. Hoping I can shake whatever it is quickly.

Linda, glad you landed the job you wanted in activities. Make the time pass much faster when you like what you are doing.

Linda, SD now has a health insurance company friendly to full time rver's. I need to look up the name,then will come back with it for you, if interested.

We enjoy the Jellystone Parks, well at least the Yogi's Shangri-La in Milton PA. The Grandbaby has a good time and I thing it brings back memories of the cartoon as a kid. The one in Milton is not as fancy as some with the big water parks but the "Rangers" have always treated us awesome. Having all the kids and grand kids meet us there this summer.

PS I'd think it would be cool to drive the Yogi Express

Will be July before I see bare ground here too. Snow depth is 2 ft on ground and like you said Barbie, piles are up to as much as 20ft. But spring is working it's way in. I am seeing more crows out, birds are twittering in the trees on the warm sunny days, trees are budding, sun is warm and starting to melt the roads and some rivers and streams are open again, days are longer too. Sure is nice being able to drive on the roads now and not having to worry about slippery ice and snow. Course we will get another blast from winter before it's all over. I always say, winter has to have one last hurrah. Nights are still gong below zero though. Too cold for this time of year.

BikerChic, sounds like you have found your niche down where you are. Sorry to hear about your MI job, but like you said, it's their loss. Maybe you will find something in IA this summer.

I still feel like I'm dreaming. Is this rig really mine? It'll probably feel more real when I get to leave the dealership! Although with the mess now inside it's looking more and more like me.

Service will take it away again at 8 in the morning. Hopefully they can get everything done, but not, well be here another night. And I need enough time to check it all.

Me and a new rig. Something I never thought would happen. Now I'm planning on driving her for the next 20 years, God willing.
