Anita, if you make it as far as Moab, let me know if you would like to have a mini get together. I have been wanting to get over to Moab to see Arches National Park again.

Debbie, if you have time go north from Ouray a few miles and visit here for a day or two...one of my favorite places in Colorado!

Sharon, My body type is definitely not the type anyone at Orvis would apprciate. They would want to poke their eyes out with a fork if I showed up in the buff!
I drive right by on my way to Ouray but have never stopped...

Sandi ~ I've been to Kewanee a couple of times and Galva is just 1/2 hour more. Depending on your time frame & route (right after MN in June / July) , I could do a day trip to that area. If your plans are pretty open, keep a mini-gtg in mind.

Summer will include that dirty four-letter word...work. However if you are traveling through the southeast corner of South Dakota, Camp Cihak will be open.

Right now I have plans, written in stone, to be at Rock Creek, Tom's Place, July 26th through Aug 6th. If anyone is in the area let me know and I'll give you my campsite #. I'm still planning on the KS gtg. If anything else pops up, I'll post it here. lyn

I'm going to be meeting both of my sons and their families for a joint camping visit in Estes Park and then Colorado Springs, CO, in late June. Will be interesting with all of my grandkids together, ages 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.

Plans are then for me to head north (alone) through Wyoming and Montana, and spend a few days in West Yellowstone, then on to Washington, Olympic Peninsula, to visit friends, and then head south along the Pacific coast to my older son's house in Napa. That will be late September.

I am definitely planning on spending next winter in Florida and have already been making reservations in Florida State Parks. Looking forward to all the birds and animals, but NOT the bugs, however.

I will be driving from central Texas north to Coeur d'alene, Idaho leaving sometime the latter part of May to spend most of the summer with DD and her family. August a trip to Washington and perhaps the Columbia river gorge when two DGD fly up. Returning home to Texas in September and will try to catch the Flinthills GTG. It's been a long, cold winter and I am coming down with spring fever!

I plan to leave CA about May 29. Not sure how long my trip will take to get there. I plan to see the sights along the way as I go. No reservations this time so I don't have to rush. I imagine it will be around the middle of June give a little or take a little. Would be great to see you if we can arrange a mini GTG.

Sandi, I hope you will stop in Keystone and see me on your way through SD.

Our "in Jello" plans for this summer, are as follows: Leave GA the 1st of May, for our seasonal site campground near Gettysburg, PA, for May, June & early part of July. Doing Dr. appts. there, Ernie's side of the family reunion and of course spoil our grand-daughter...then onto north-central PA on the New York State line south of Buffalo (July thru the 1st week of Aug. there abouts.) to visit family there with a check-in with a Dr. there who treated me last summer and a family reunion (my side) there, too.....The rest of Aug. is our visit with Mitch at The Blue Marlin and since we aren't going across the Mississippi this year, we won't be attending the KS GTG, but heading to Memphis,TN to re-visit there and enjoy the BBQ places...and also to travel the Nachas Trace some...heading down to the Lafayette, LA for Sept. thru Oct. Then across, going east, thru MS, AL and then the panhandle of FL doing the "white sands and beaches" of the Gulf coast for Nov.- Dec....stopping in the Crystal River area for awhile. (this was our plan last year, but as you know things happened and we'll do it this year.) Haven't planned any farther than that, (Ernie's the travel planner this year and has everything planned around food places.) ;) :)

Had some great plans, now all are floating around in Jello, until the time I can pull them out and arrange in to some kind of a plan.

Do have the Sept GTG in Kansas on the agenda, and what ever else I can add to it. Will know more at a later time. Sure a long list of things hoped for, hoping I don't have to check too many off the list :D

Interesting to see others plans, and so many trying for the Kansas GTG, should be a great time.

Think this topic is the same that got our Michigan group going last year. Great fun, and just might get another going somewhere this year :D

Interesting topic,
CArol :)

Now that I have my computer back, I can read through this thread and see what's happening. Sounds like a lot going to be going on and a few people interested in maybe touring MI. Well, if you get to MI, let me know. I should have truck and TT ready by summer so we can take off and explore if you want.

Also sounds like some really neat rips planned too. If everybody who says they would like to hit the KS GTG turn up, that campground won't be big enough to handle us all, we will take over the place, ha ha. My trip to SD is still in the works, but not sure when. Waiting for a new tow vehicle, which I might have next week and also looking at a possible TT trade as well. Am really getting ansty to hit that road someplace, but out my window lies about two feet of white stuff yet.
