my past several weeks

Some of you knew that this winter while in Fl. I planned to have my cataracts removed, with dr. my Sis had had good luck with. Where I would be with someone also who could provide transportation for me, when needed. I planned this, and thought I would get home in time to renew my drivers license first part of April. Well, the many dr visits to prepare for these surgeries took forever, which was making me uneasy about my time line. Still could have made it, BUT I felt a cold moving in on me two weeks before first surgery. Went to the dr., got meds, one week later back at the dr. with more symptoms . I have Shingles in my right eye and partial side of my face, cold is almost gone though. Yesterday saw eye surgeon, more expensive meds as eyeball is effected in this shingles outbreak, surgery of course postponed for sometime now, more visits to doctors, in future, and not sure what else it might hold at this time. I do know I will have to find away home when the time comes to get my drivers license. Oh well, that's a future problem to solve. Right now, I am seeing a wee better, just not to much out of the right eye.

I have not participated on here lately and this morning decided I did need to inform all of you, that I am not having soooo much fun that I haven't had time for you all In fact, Florida is fast becoming my most non favorite to visit, I visit more doctors down here then the many friends I have. Sure haven't seen many friends or did much this year.

I feel certain, everything will eventually work out for the best, thinking positive here,

Oh, Carol, sorry to hear about the Shingles outbreak....and having it affect your eye is very serious...so glad that the eye dr. has taken care of this....Hope you will be better soon and can get the cataracts done....Hang in there and yes, it will all come out in the wash....take care....(((HUGS)))

Carol, I know a couple people that have had shingles in their eyes and on the face, and from their experience, it's awful. I wish you the very best and hope you are able to get the cataracts removed and get the license renewal taken care of. (((Hugs)))

Carol, a big hug is coming your way. I had shingles on my neck and side of my face, and was worried about my eye, so I know what you're going through. No fun... I got the shot after because you can get shingles again. The discoloration goes away in time. Hang in there. Peggy

Sooo sorry about the shingles....not good, and certainly not fun. Hope it has been caught early so no lasting effects.

Oh Brother! If it wasn't for bad luck you'd be crap out of luck! Poor baby, wish I could be there to give you a hug! I know it's gotta be painful, I've been lucky enough to dodge that particular bullet so far. Glad you already had a good eye doctor lined up that could take care of this, it's sure nothing to mess around with. Keep us posted on how you're coming along. It'll all work out, some way, somehow. Carol, so sorry to hear things got this bad! I know shingles aren't fun tho I've never had them. I got the shot several years ago and hoping it works!
