What the Realtor Calls Deming Near

Sitting out on the desert outside of Deming. Getting caught up on "doing nothing" and a little dog grooming.

Pretty, I think I would have taken the dusty road too!

Love that place! Oh the places we could go if I was there with the jeep! LOL!

Really would enjoy the hike (and did virtually speaking) and the pictographs. Thistle, I have found, is not much of a desert hiker...short is better.

[color=#0000BF]That is indeed one lucky dog.
I'm loving your hikes, Tina. However, it is a shame you can't burn some of those calories for me.

that was interesting, and have always wondered how those grinding holes got SO perfectly round.

Since there is no Ranger out here at the ranch to explain thing about the grinding holes all I can add is that the ranger back at the Gila Cliff Dwelling said that they had tested residue from the smalls holes there. They found traces of corn and they also found traces of pigment color....possibly used for decorating the rocks or pottery or skins....

But the holes here were much larger.......
