Saturday morning, with sun in the forecast...

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

When I bought my Jeep, it had an after market expensive stereo system in it that I couldn't make heads or tails of. My friend Steve, who is a wiz at electronic stuff like that, couldn't even figure it out! I ended up finding and ordering the original stereo/cassette/cd player for that Jeep, on line. It is perfect! Has an on/off button, a volume button, and pre-set buttons for the channels. That is about all I can handle!

We had a few inches of snow here today. Nothing much, but enough to muck up the roads and make them slippery.

I set up my new tent in my living room last night. It is taller and roomier than I expected for a 4 person tent, so I was happy about that. :D It has nice big windows and a large door that zips from bottom to top, so critters can't crawl in where the zipper ends (my last tent had a 1 inch gap at the end of the zipper on the bottom of the door that I worried about creepy crawlies coming thru  ). It doesn't come with a rainfly since they claim it is totally waterproof without one. Reading the reviews tho, about half said they stayed dry in the rain and half said they didn't. There is a rainfly available for it, so I think I will get one just in case. I plan to spray it all over with waterproofing stuff and seal the seams anyways but I will sleep better at night in it if I also have a rainfly on it too. Now will have to start planning some camping trips for this summer!

Sue, can you pull the TT you have now with the SUV you have now? Maybe you should just hang on to both for another year until you decide what you want to do with your house.

Hope you all have/had a good day! Stay safe, warm and dry! :D

Edit: Just found out that my neighbor with brain cancer passed away last week, much sooner than expected. She was a really nice lady!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Like the other Arizona-visiting gals, it's supposed to be at record highs today for the time of year. I'm in Sierra Vista where it's cooler than north in Tucson and even more cooler than Phoenix or Yuma. But last night, it cooled down wonderfully just after sunset. A cool wind came up, the wind blows often down here, and it was just mahvelous to sit outside, feel the wind on my face and look up at the stars. I waited to hear the local coyote howling but did not hear him/her last night. :-) I'm camped at a military campground on Ft. Huachuca at the base of the Huachuca mountains with canyons which lead off from the base. Super scenic, very historical. I only wished now that I had sprung for a toad with some clearance, but as I wanted automatic, my little Chevy Sonic was one of the few automatics which could be converted for towing four down without too much difficulty. Unfortunately, it bottoms out on a speed bump so I can only get so far traveling up the canyons.

For you super adventurous folk, there is a small Arizona State campground at a place called Parker Lake Canyon. It's a small manmade lake, a burst of blue in an otherwise brown-toned landscape nestled in some hills with signs which warn you that you are close to the border and not to pick up hitchhikers. :-) The campground is on a hill overlooking the lake, small but quite scenic.

That's it for me! I work while I'm on the road, so busy working on my computer today and contemplating the possible absolute necessity of a mini Kreug (I already have a drip coffeemaker) and a convection oven.
