Lyn, Karen and I stayed two nights in the park....cost us all of $12. Love those Senior Passes. I must agree with Lyn, this desert area is magnificent.

Lots of vegetation in that desert. Springtime is beautiful in the desert with everything blooming. That should be starting soon there.
That one Saguaro looked upside down. It's arms were all growing down instead of up. Wonder what causes that?

I do love the desert. Organ Pipe was especially beautiful and is one of my favorites. Tina got some good pictures. The 20 mile drive took us two hours and 45 minutes! Lots of stops to look at the scenery. Lyn

Haven't got to use my senior pass much but it is wonderful to have.
Love the shots where you captured the moon with rugged landscape.

The Saguaro with the arms "hugging" itself was just an example of how many different forms and sizes these cactus come in. Many of the cactus did appear just like all the cactus in the magazines with their arms up lifted....but on others those arms went all over the place.
