good morning ladies
after a very long stressful work week, a good 3 day weekend and lots of plans in the works. (transferring stuff over to the rv)
The very stressful week just wore me out though. One of my students, very large (tall and lanky) high school student in a
wheelchair is a hitter. We dealt with that 3 times this week. We've had a meeting recently over this issue as he's injured
bus aides in the past and transportation has been dealing with his nonsense for 10 years. He has to be restrained in his wheelchair,
but mom wanted his restraints on his upper arm so he could still nibble on his snacks. Didn't work, I said on his wrists only, and no
more snacks cause he just throws it on the floor anyway and then screams cause he can't reach it. Also has ankle restraints for
the kicking and pulling his shoes off and throwing them. (these are size 13, big heavy tennis shoes) Got out of his restraints again
on thursday (2nd time) taking off his shoes and tossing them backwards just missing one of the other students. Told mom he had
to have wrist restraints, so Friday he shows up with the wrist restrains as well as the elbow restraints, shoes in the backpack.
I checked the restraints and they are good and snug and the aide and I felt safe. When we got to school my aide bent down to
unhook the wheelchair and just barely missed getting hit in the face. :o <---seriously, this was my face, he was totally out of all
his restraints, a little houdini jelly fish. His teacher and school aide came on the bus to put him back in his restraints and the whole
time he is trying to hit us and FINALLY the teacher sees this and has to hold his hands down. His teacher has been in denial all year
even though the school aides say they have dealt with the same behavior we have. Not only all this nonsense going on this week we
have been in a spare bus while they fix our air conditioning and the wheelchair hook up are very old and very hard to work with. But
good thing is, I think we get our bus back on Tuesday. The student will be 18 next week but sad to say they allow the special ed students
to attend school until they are 22. Hopefully he will not be on my bus next year but if he is, I'll just deal with it. We accomplished alot
this year just getting the restraints approved and I don't intend on backing down, my supervisor is right on board with me too. They put
him in the wheelchair a couple years ago just to get him off and on the bus, then last year added crotch strap and shoulder restraints cause he kept wiggling out and onto the floor and wouldn't get up. (picture 6'4", tall and lanky mansize baby) Enough on that subject, it
was just good to get it off my chest.
Have stuff packed up and ready to load into the car and will probably make two trips out to the rv. Have one tire money put away and
next payday will buy two tires and get those put on. March will do the other two tires and then in April I will be ready to move it. I know
the day will get here but I want it to get her NOW! In the meantime, I just deal with what I have to, as it is what it is and I can't change
it.
Ya'll have a great day, hope your weather has finally broke for you. Be safe. :P

Good Morning !!! Hope everyone has some fun plans for some time in this week end. Its a little cloudy here this morning but supposed to pass on over us and the sun will be out and supposed to be a really nice day. I have no real plans, feeling better but not a lot of ambition has moved back in :o  My sis and hubby have gone off with youngest daughter for a little fun at one of the casinos down here. Its not bad that I didn't feel up to trip :D Besides I can't leave my Maggie for such a long time, she hasn't had much exercise and she at least needs to get out in back yard several times a day, which she could not do if I left her. She and I, staying together means we have more gas money for trips we want to make around here, if I can only get well  I need to get back up to Ocala area and get my rig washed and waxed, can't do on the way out of state as first thought because looks like I will be moving fairly fast through that area headed home . Hoping that no more delays come up where I can't leave here at least by noon the first(April Fools) I plan to stop overnight, none of this driving till I'm there anymore, not fun. It does have to be a fast trip though so I can get to drivers lic office morning of my birthday, not the most fun thing to do on your birthday.

Well, I'm rambling. Wanted to report that I think I'm on the mend. Wishing you all a great week end, whatever you do have fun and Please Stay Safe in doing it.

CArol :)
You beat me in posting Ava, I'm so sorry you've had to deal with so much stress this past week. Makes all my whining tales seem so insignificant, have a good week end, hoping you can avoid stress at least until Tuesday. Take care and thank you You are the strongest and most patient person I know, I think. You set goals and do them !!!!

Good Morning Lori and all,

Sunshine here too. And warming trend on it's way. Well, into 30's but I'll take it. May have to dig out my shorts

Am pouting today. Didn't have a good day yesterday. Got my income taxes done and found out I owe this year :( Then discovered last night when I open the blinds on my spare bedroom window to admire the moon, that the glass in the lower window (double hung windows) was all cracked and falling out  . The windows are double pane insulated glass and the outer window if fine. Haven't looked out that window all winter, kept blinds down cause of cold and nobody using the room either. So don't have any idea what happened there. Looking at having to get that fixed now and hoping I don't have to replace the entire window. Anybody ever had that happen to them. I did have my roof shoveled off last week and thought perhaps a chunk of ice or snow hit the window, but you would think the outer glass would have broken then. So :?: :?: :?: Also been talking to dealers about letting go of my Flex for a truck to pull trailer with. They are all telling me I have to pay up the remainder of lease which is 12 months worth  So not getting anywhere's there either. Nuts.

But I'm summer dreaming and thinking of RVing, heading out on the open road once in awhile and seeing some sights. Even if I don't get out of MI. But would like to go down to the KS GTG in September. I know a number of you are planning on it. Should be fun. Am also looking forward to perhaps seeing some of you around this summer too.

Guess it's time to get this day moving around here. Not sure what I am going to do. Not really in mood for working around here. Maybe call friend and see if she's going to be home. Time for a visit. But hope the rst of you have a nice day and activities planned for this long weekend.

Good Morning from drizzly Ocala... no sun today for us...
Ava I remember those struggles from the other bus drivers... my last couple of years I drove a short bus with 3, 4 and 5 year olds on it... I do not know how a person can deal with those students...
Laundry today! the machines keep breaking... there is only one washer and one dryer...
Hope you all have a good day... no more snow for the north please...

Good morning all! :D

Good to catch up with y'all. Seems I've been too busy to get out my laptop. Had a great few days in O'side with sis. Actually had R&R time & long walks with the poopers! Back at Aunt's now, being nurse/maid for her & cousin....Beautiful weather here in CA still. Can't believe the mess back east. Glad GA is getting some "normal" weather, Lori :D

Nothing special here for Valentine's day, so it was nice to hear reports of yours. Loved the "antique" ones, BJ! Did DH make a special one for you again this year?

That's all from here. Y'all have a great day & be safe always! 8-)

Got up in time to watch that full moon set. Well awake. not up, lol.

Am enjoying this relaxing time at the Salton Sea. Sure do miss the vendors from the Baja beaches though.

Good Morning.
Apparently Mother Nature forgot to watch last nights weather forecast or I was looking at wrong city. I though sunny but windy today. There was a nice sunrise but the sun disappeared. Now it is very windy, chilly and misting rain.
Nothing special planned today; may have to do a little cleaning inside.
Did get some photos of Murals in St Cloud posted yesterday in the General section.
Wishing all a good day

Today is moving day!! Had I known plans would be changed when I got back here last Monday, I would have loved to travel on with Tina, Lyn and Karen to Organ Pipe!

I'll head up to Parker for groceries and spend the night at the casino. Tomorrow I'll find a boondock spot as I won't be meeting LeRoy until Wednesday. We'll do some riding between the Q and Yuma, spend time in Yuma and then who knows.

We've made reservations for the train to the Grand Canyon and an overnight for May 1. Thinking after that I might head up to Page, Arizona for the sights and then into Utah.

Ava, hang in there!! Everyone have a good day and safe travels!

Good late morning all.

SNOWING here yet again ARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!
Those in the sunshine and rain, enjoy it ..... there is no shoveling involved.

Sue, sorry to hear about the window. It almost sounds like the snow load caused some flexing. How old are the windows? I would contact the manufacturer and see what they say. If you don't get any satisfaction from them then look at house insurance if your deductible isn't too high. When I replaced all the windows on the house a couple of years ago, they came with an any cause lifetime breakage warranty.
Hope things work out to your satisfaction and that you can enjoy camping this summer.

Going out to dinner tonight so need to clear snow off the car.
Y'all have a great day.

Settled into Lake Pleasant, AZ, campground in my favorite site from last year. I am up on the hill, overlooking the lake with a terrific view! And temps are in the 80s here and are supposed to be in that range all week. Yea. Going to vacuum and get some work done today, but tomorrow will ride my bike and explore.

Boy am I lazy!

We have sunshine today! Ronnie is still in bed, slowly healing. I bought a new phone system for the house, 5 handsets, plenty to go around. Charged them yesterday, so I guess today I will be setting them up. I can also sync my cell phone to it for answering and transferring the contact list, but I'm not sure I want to do that. Seems like too much I could do wrong, lol.

Lori, I saw last night there was an earthquake around SC & GA.

Vickie, electronic things just get more and more complicated. I bought a phone for people that are hard of hearing but it was too complicated for my DH and me too. It had a light that would flash when someone called and he would mess the phone up pushing every button trying to turn off the light. I hate the cheap phones Walmart sells but can't find anything any better. DH drags it off the table every time he answers it so I have to replace it about once a year.

When I got my CR-V the salesman fixed my cell phone to work through the car. That lasted about 2 days until I figured out how to cancel it. I couldn't hear the person calling me and they couldn't hear me.

I put a new radio in my motorhome a couple of years ago. If there is a way to turn it off I haven't figured out how, I just turn the volume all the way down. It's just too much trouble to go back to the shop to ask them. It has buttons that I don't have a clue what they are. Of course it didn't come with any instructions. I probably need to get the model number and see if there is anything on line.

Sarah, you must be getting the wind we had yesterday. It's nice today.

Preciously the reason that I still have a "dumb phone".

The afternoon turned out to be pretty nice even if the wind continued. Sun was out by 1:00 and stayed out.

I still have a dumb phone also. No grandchildren to show me how to use a smart one

Martha - I did get a manual for the radio in Magic but when I went to use it to set the clock discovered they had given me the wrong one - the manual and radio are not even the same brand! Have requested replacement from Thor but they tell me they don't have one. At some point will contact manufacturer and see if I can get one. I really don't use it anyway. Would like to know how to turn the clock off tho so it won't draw on battery.
