:!: :!: Absolutely wonderful :!: :!: I am so happy for you. You could always just turn south and you wouldn't have to wait for that snow to melt.

Wow Judi! Congrats! I watched the video and it's amazing! They thought of everything you could ever want in a small camper, so very nice!

So happy for you!!!
I've always loved the Leisure Travel vans! I think they've thought about everything. :D
I was able to download all the manuals & even the schematics on my van before I went down to pick it up. Having it on my laptop sure is convenient to look up something or zoom in for a close-up when I don't have access to the paper one.
Can't wait to see pics - or better yet, see it in person!

Enjoy!!!

Don't know if manuals at Leisure travel are still done same way, but in 05 my huge binder contained the brochures for every item LT had installed from the kitchen sink to the add on radio, heater, AC, inverter, even the upgraded seatbelts. Also all the warranties, as well as lots of material from LT about how to operated each item. We found the manual very good, but then our tour at the factory when we picked it up included how to operate every thing as well. We were very comfortable when we drove away and they remain to this day at the other end of a phone call to answer questions. Of course there is still stuff to learn that is general to all RVs like how to drain tanks, but they went over that too because we had not owned an RV before. Almost 9 years later and we are still happy and sometimes pull that big binder out of the cupboard and usually we find our answer or the place to such as the manufacturer of the items website.
Have a wonderful time in the new LT and many happ travels. And yes we are a stormin in CA"......finally!

Congratulations Judi. Hopefully we can all get together this spring. Would love to see the new rig. Looking forward to your stories from the road. Judy, I bet you didn't count on this weather when you decided to stay. Good for you for figuring out workarounds for frozen pipes.

P.S. You really don't like the local Leisure Travel dealer...

How neat and congratulations. Only skimming now - just read the first post - will have to catch up on the rest later.

Day 6 in the new RV and I am loving it. Since I am very bad about taking photos, the best way to see pics in by Googling Free Spirit SS. I feel so very lucky to have the opportunity to travel this way, and to have such a vehicle.
I'm staying at Seven Feathers RV park in Canyonville Oregon tonight, so I can tackle the snowy messy roads in Portland tomorrow in the daylight. A neighbor emailed me to let me know that our street is covered in 14" of snow, and it's still coming down. I love this RV park and I just might have to stay until Monday if things don't improve!

Mandysmom, yes, I have a big binder of info, brochures, etc. I've had a few questions over the last few days and the dealer has been so helpful and each issued was solved within 5 minutes. The only thing I am not totally pleased with is the shower door, but I'm going to figure out a way to modify it.

Congratulations, Judi. How exciting for you. I watched the video on your new rig and it looks great! I understand what you said about your Road Trek, sometimes I wish for a bit more space in mine. But at this point not sure I can justify it. I'm not planning to full time, just some trips when the mood hits me to get away for awhile. I do love how bright yours is. Wonder if I should paint the inside of mine....been thinking about it! Safe trip back to Portland. Did you decide to stay another day before you head out?

The conditions in Portland are so terrible with first the snowstorm and now the ice-storm. I stayed at Seven Feathers RV park in Canyonville, Oregon last night and will be here again tonight. Hopefully I will be able to get home to Portland tomorrow.

I keep making lists of what I need to do before I can take off on the year-long trip! So much to get done! I'm trying to get everything organized so I can put everything in storage and rent out my house by July 1. I will be out of town from April until the end of May so I can't really get going sooner than July. I've been in this Free Spirit SS for over a week now, and I believe it will be great to live in for a year!
