I just don't understand it. This afternoon I pulled into my spot in the Circus Circus KOA. I get out of the motorhome and start doing my hookups and unhookups of the toad. There were 2 couples laughing and talking next to their TT. It's like as soon as they saw me, THE WOMAN, doing all I need to do to set up they turn their back on me. No one speaks, no one looks at me. They all get up and leave. Later the guy was out while I was getting some things out of the car, never once turned my way.
Now I'm not the prettiest woman in the world by far but not the ugliest either. I do stand 5'9" and I'm to be 68 soon. I don't bother anyone, will hire someone to help me if things break or I need something done. I don't ask for help, I don't need it, my husband calls once or twice a day and helps me with any advice I need. My motorhome isn't new but its pretty nice looking and clean, I have pictures on other forums, just looked at the process here and decided not to go through all that. My toad is a 2005. I don't feel I need to haul my 2013 Cadillac SRX around with me to prove my worth or anything, or to make myself presentable to people such as that. Those folks have a decent TT and truck, nothing over the top just decent. Of course my daughter thinks its always because of her, sometimes it is, but noone has even seen her today, so like I told her, don't be silly.
This is not an everytime thing, just occasionally. But it does happen. I also get, are you driving that thing? Wow, how can you do that by yourself, etc. And I think the women are the worst. Does this happen to any of you? I was in a terrific mood and pretty happy, I won't let it bother me for long, but are women like us that unusual or threatening or something? Today it got to me, jeez.
