Oh Brother ! It's Monday...Morning too !!!...Seems like I just laid my head down on the soft pillow and I hear that voice (Joe) calling me..I turn over and there looking at me ..Glowing in the dark...the clock..and it's saying, "2:15 am" What !!! Oh Brother, that darn dawg..ugh...now I love the little guy to peices..but ...enough is enough...give me just another hour please...no such luck...Yes, Sista's there's days I wished I didn't have a critter..especially when I just laid my head down at midnight...Ouch !!!!.... So I gets myself up..speaking in my native tongue..(I'm going to He77 for sure ) telling Joe that I may ship him to Jaaaaaah bip...right now...and the herd runs out the door..does their "thang" charges back into the house and in my bed....the nerve of them...and Joe..(the darling) is nestled in between my two pillows..shoot I look over and the guilt hits me...Yeah, I'm now feeling sorry I said all I said...till tomorrow...betcha bottom dolla !!!! So that's my story and I'm stickin to it !! As for my day..it was a busy one...and I wish I could rest ..but have to go to the store..ugh..then I have a meeting here with the General Manager and others..to talk about.."What if something happens to me, I don't want anyone to shoot my dogs "! Yep, that's the issue...and I have to find out how many others will form a committee to protect our dogs...mind you..the little breeds..they have a way of dealing with that..but the large breeds and such as my dogs..Rotties..it's a known fact that the Sheriff will shoot first...horrible but this is something I have to work on . This is about if you call 911 or someone does for you..and they have to come in and rescue you.. So that's my project.

Now as for all of you...

Beth, that hair cut is neat and looks really good on you...Me, I couldn't pull that one off...I'm lucky I got mine cut as I have always had long braided hair..and I felt naked at the length I got......but ya never know... I sure do like how fast it is to fix...

I see we had a crowd in my kitchen .."that's a nice a " ...

ON the Newbie issue, Again ! Please iffn' ya make the effort to join our group..please take the next step and hit the Intro...we sure would appreciate it..and if ya have problems figuring it out..just ask for help...we really don't bite..well, some of us do...but just a little.. nah I'm kidding...

Bluepinecones (Sarah) I don't know..seems that You've gone to the "Dark Side".. I mean..another hand in the face...????? uh oh...beware of the Hand in Face disease..it seems to be catching......sure hope we get a better look at cha .... :D

Echo, I don't know.. ya better see a Doc...and start taking some vitamins...it's probably cause your work environment is so close..but geeezzz loueeezzzz get better and take good care of yourself... You must be run down..seems not too long ago you were sick.. Drink some hot tea with honey and lemon in it..ooops a shot of whiskey.. and then go directly to bed and cover up... I remember that remedy from years ago...but somewhere I remember it with "Irish Whiskey"...take care !!

NaSoosie (Soos) that Ice castle is a beauty... I have in one of my art groups something with an ice castle and a wizzard..have to dig through my goodies... but great shots...

Cedar...mmmm hot tub..now I could have used that a few days ago...but not to too hot ...but sure would have felt good on the back...now we will know where you are in the evenings...:) bubble bubble...

Asirimarco (Carol and Bill) went visiting the little town of El Quelite...check that one out...I hear that Mexican Music playing in the background... love them pictures...

Fernie again good to hear the good news..ya got a new laptop...yeah..now no excuse ya hear...and by the way...how many bottles of beer on the wall ????

Almost there...(Lenora)...posted the honest ta gawd poem that I think we can all say.."Fits us".... Yep it's a do able one too...LOL Good one Lenora.. PS..check where my mouse is >>>>

ShirlV... I mean "Hello"..good to see you post..even if it's just lovin that poem...

Well I have to say, I'm dragging and although I could continue through...I'm gonna give my ole bod a rest..move my darlings to the other side so I can slide in...and then get my butt back up at 5:30am to make another Crumb Cake..Yes, that baby was delicious..and it's completely gone...So for the crew that's coming over this morning..(ugh) I've got to have something for them...and YOU as well...

Kitchen is always open...Coffee Pot is perking..Kettle is Whistling...and boy lots of OJ in the frig..and Colas too... so it's Crumb Cake and Biscotti..my dear Sista's come join me... love having you all here....

May your Adventures be Great Ones and your Journey be Safe...

God Bless

Zeee....zooming out.....

Gooood Morning Sistahs!!!!!

Just time enough for a quick fly by to shout out my Good Morning. Set my alarm to go off a little later that it normally would for working the day shift. Yep I'm working that day shift deal today. Ya'll know that it's a bank holiday today, our project is closed today. So they passed around a sheet on Friday to let us all know that they for sure had hours available today on day shift and that we were all expected to work them. So got to be there at 8am this morning.

I feeling a little bit better than I did on Friday and Saturday. But then again anything would have to be an improvement!!! Been pumping the Nyquil for nites, Dayquil for days into me and of course Zicam. That Zicam is great stuff. :D I'll keep it up until I feel like my old self?? Hmmmm Sure wish it could make me into a new self! hehehehe

Ok have grabbd one cup so far got to grab another plus some to go to work with. Might fill my thermos this morning. I will probably need it to day!!!! Oh and I brought some blueberry muffins to add to the table.

Hope everyone has a great day today. Please stay safe everyone.

Love to all

Good Morning, All!!

Can't believe we are starting the second half of February already! This month has sure flown by, for me, anyway. The sun is bright here, snow is sparkly, and the temp is coming up above the below zero it was a while ago. Should be another good day to ski, I am thinking!

I'm hoping everybody gets over their sicknesses and aches and pains soon, and that spring season will bring new life to us all. Next month is the first day of spring, but, here in the north country, we all know that doesn't really happen until late April!!

Hope you will all stop in here at Barb's kitchen, sip a hot cup of something, and tell us about your day! I plan to sip coffee and read mail for a bit now, before suiting up to head outdoors!

Have a happy day, everybody!

Good Monday morning all!

Barbz...great pic. Methinks that cat has his head in the clouds, spring fever perhaps, but he doesn't even smell that mouse!

It's a this and that day here. A little laundry, a little house cleaning, maybe a little yard work, a little lazy day time.

Carol and Maggie left for home this morning. Roe was sad, but I don't think Bandit was. Those two just never came to a firm understanding between them. They'll have to this summer or it will be a crowded little rv, LOL.

Enjoy your day, whereever you are!

I had a very busy weekend...went to the RV show on Saturday with a friend. We were both just looking...not seriously but just to see what is new out there. I can tell you there were lots of really good deals and if I were looking to purchase, I would have hung around Sunday right before the show closed! We did see a couple of C's that we both decided we could live with, but most of the A's we saw made me realize that I like mine just fine! And we really want to know who it is that picks out the fabrics for the new Motorhomes! They really need to see some new samples from somewhere else!

Sunday took a trip to Emmitsburg (MD) with a friend to meet with our group of ladies that have been getting together once a year for the past 25! This year we are planning a long weekend at Cape May, NJ. Had a nice get together and lunch with everyone. Looks like we are planning for the 1st weekend of June and one of the other ladies is bringing her rig and camping so I'm going to too! The rest of them can stay in a hotel room if they want, but my weekend will probably cost me a lot less then theirs will!

With all that I did this weekend, I never had a chance to get to the grocery store. Dogs and cat aren't going to let me in the door this afternoon unless I bring food!!! And treats! And I have to get a new trash can with a lid because my two (I'm not sure which one it is) have decided that they like dumping out the trash can and scavenging! Not a pleasant thing to wake up to! Not a nice thing to have to clean up first thing outta bed! The first time it was the bigger of the two...this time it was the little guy! Not sure who "dumped" the trash, but that was who was "enjoying" themselves! So, I guess we need a can with a good lid!

Back at work, and today interviewing someone for a position as Contracts Administrator! We do lots of gov't contracts and need someone who can make sure we are compliant, etc.

Hope everyone has a good day.

good morning, its so late, can't believe when I woke up the clock was
reading 8:00, can't remember when that happened last. I didn't even
stay up late! Gonna wash up all the dog blankets today and I'm doomed
to do more housework cause this computer keeps kicking off every couple
minutes then takes twice that to turn back on. Guess I could clean out
drawers and rearrange the storage under my bed. I wouldn't mind shopping
for a new laptop but I'll have to go to the clubhouse and use one of those
computers for any serious surfing on the internet.
Never got to go to the casino yesterday, the coupon I had was expired :(
so that took care of that idea. But I did use up the rest of my birthday
money from Kohls, and thats about all I did.
At the moment my life is really boreing but that doesn't mean it always
will be, there are better days ahead, I'm sure of that.
At least I'm staying warm and comfortable and not fighting a cold like poor
Echo, girlfriend, you have got to get more rest and get your system built
back up. I'm dreaming of the day you can quit that godawful job and get
on to better things.
Guess I better get this submitted before it disappears and the computer
goes offline. Hugs to everybody and have a great day.

It looks like I missed coffee-time today, but haven't been here in so long it took forever to try to catch up.

Anyway, just poking my head in here to say how much I've missed you gals and let you know we're really enjoying our Brownsville experience. We've met so many people from so many backgrounds and it seems there's always something going on here. The area is so rich with history and the beaches beckon us often. Molly is thriving on her thyroid meds and has lost 6 pounds. I no longer need to help her up the camaper steps, and she bounds up onto the sofa whenever she pleases. Tommy took a cool picture of her and Sami running along the beach the other day. What a difference!

Well, I'm going to go wade through the endless sea of missed topics and try to find out what ya'll have been up to. I will make an honest effort to check in more often, and post a pic or two once in awhile.

Have a wonderful day, wherever you are sisters.

Good morning Sisters,
Well DH is off to do another lesson today, a lady learning how to drive her 5th wheel so the hubby does not do all the driving. Sat & Sunday DH taught a couple how to drive and I'll tell ya the hubby needs to do better communication on how to back her up!! He kept giving her signals that were confusing.....I told him to keep it basic.....using your thumbs indicate go to the right or left, palms straight up means straighten out the tires and come straight back, cross your arms means stop and NEVER stand behind the RV giving directions always be to the left side....If I can't see you in the mirror, you can't see me! If you need to move to check out the other side the driver is to NOT MOVE till he or she can see you again. It is much harder with the 5th wheels to do these directions because the truck goes one way and the 5th wheel goes another, Hope it sank into the guy, he just needs practice and be consistant on the directions. They were mentally exhausted after the lesson, alot to take in and now hope they go often on trips and use those lessons.......I know...I know....practice what you preach I NEED TO DRIVE MORE! Funny how I can move it or park it but getting out on the road I only like to drive 100 miles at a time because my arms and shoulders begin to ache then....hum.

Poor Echo, I seriously think this job of yours is hazardous to your health because you are too stressed out! I'll just bet you are looking forward to this Spring for sure!

I just love going to RV show s Paulette and yes I wonder too who the idiots are that cover the furniture!!! Keep it simple and let US put in color, one of the reasons I liked the Alfa Seeya it was not flashy god awful colors....although many have redone the bedroom, Lorna did hers and it's prettier now.

Gotta tidy up today, Happy Hour at our place with some of the Life On Wheels old staff. Vicki Keiva's a redhead this year, before she was a light strawberry blonde. Last time we saw her she was in Skagway Alaska doing a DVD of her travels to Alaska....would love to see that DVD!!

Have a good one today :D

G'morning, All! Feb.16th, "later February", and here I still sit, now over a month late now...:(. No matter, the weather has been better: sunny and conducive to getting things done, while I wait for my passport (due in on Thursday) and try to get back on my motorbike. This needing supervision to ride until I pass the skills test has been a real hang-up as my student (the only one I know with a bike license) is always busy and/or the weather does not cooperate so I get no practice.

SO, I decided to take the plunge and plan to set up a couple of private lessons locally in the next week or two and maybe that will do the trick to get me licensed and able to finally leave!

Got up this morning--bright sunshine, a feeling I am on the 'home stretch' with a plan to wash all the interior windows and the exterior too if it warms up and ....guess what? Water supply is frozen again LOL!!! I swear there are anti-RV-er gremlins out there that are taking excessive notice of me LOL. Hope it thaws soon as my motivation has been known to just evaporate LOL... I have become less patient with age :) or maybe it is just waning energy?

Hope you all have a great start to your week!

Good Morning (it's still morning here)
Right now I don't have any plans for the day - I may go to the beach with Molly, but it's sort of grey and windy and I have a sinus headache so staying home may be a better idea. There is a NCIS marathon on TV today and I love that show so there's another reason to stay home.
Molly and I went to the beach yesterday, it was a beautiful sunny day and I wanted to give her a nice day after she was go good at the Valentine Dog party :D We had lots of fun, she got to meet some nice dogs and people so I think I'm forgiven - HA !
Hope you all enjoy your day

Good afternoon! I never post on Zee's morning coffee because if I were roaming around in her kitchen the usual time I'm on the computer, she'd call the cops on me! I'm off work today so I can leisurely read all the posts and not worry about getting to bed before dawn. It's sunny and fairly warm today. I'm tempted to take Kelsey for a walk. It's been months since we walked. Thanks for the coffee, Barb!

Good Morning Zeee,... (afternoon!)

It's a great day here,.. bright sunshine, but still pretty chilly today. Very little melting going on. I'm off work this week for winter break. A friend and I went to b'fast and yakked over coffee until 11:00 a.m. Now I'm home doing laundry, etc.

This evening is my granddaughter's 15th birthday celebration at her home. Just a family gathering. Her real b'day was yesterday, but she's been busy babysitting all weekend. She's got some 4-H trips coming up so she needs new clothes,..but in the typical teenage fear of adults buying her clothes she reminded me that she'd really like to shop for them hereself! So it's $$ in her card, for sure.

Hope you are all having a good day,...

Raining, raining, raining...grrrrrrrrrrrr! AND I have a headache. AND the 2 chi's woke me up 3 times last nite growling at each other when one of them would get to close to the other. You haven't lived until you've had a couple of small dogs get into a snarling growling whoop-te-do under the covers and on your feet. Worse than little kids. OK back into my cave, waiting for sun.

Really good to hear from you, Jill - was hoping to get together with you so close, but guess it wasn't meant to be. I know what it's like being busy - if you get a chance to read any of my posts, you'll discover I'm never still. It'll get worse after I start travelling in April, as I won't always have a connection, I'm sure. Hopefully my phone will work most places - until Canada, where I'm told it won't work most of that part of my trip. Probably a good thing, as that will also be where it'll be too expensive to want to use.

Zeee, are there problems where you are with the police or emergency people when they come into homes? The worst part is when the dogs won't let emergency personnel in - but I've seen firsthand how in most areas, they find someone or someway to control the animals without harming them. However, I'm sure some communities might still do barbaric things like you mentioned. Scary. My biggest concern is making sure that I have it clearly stated in enough places what should happen with Peaches. Need to do that, because my previous documents for Moxie and Tips had them going elsewhere. And while I would be ok with her going to that person - I have a friend she absolutely adores who I'm going to change it to for her. Let us know how things go there.

OK, I'm on a short break and due back in a few minutes, so best run -

Have a great day all.
