I have seen those couches, they are quite genius. I like the ones that face a fireplace (electric, of course) with a tv above. Which model Winnebago is it? How do you like driving it? after this 40 ft old converted bus we still have, but which I want to get ready to sell, and driving it once, I have decided 35 ft would be at my outer limit as to length but that gives a lot of models to consider. Thanks for sharing the info.

This will be my last email before hitting the road to Hillsborough for a few days as you know, but I had to describe my day. It rained. I went grocery shopping in the rain, forgot to buy the ice, had to go back to get that, in the rain. I pulled tire covers off Rachael in the rain, backed her up at home, getting out to check how close I was to the tree in the rain. Proceeded to load many, many loads through the rain, at one point having to close the door and sit inside her while waiting for the rain which had decided by now to pour. I turned on the propane for the refrigerator which wouldn't start at first: too much rain in the vents wouldn't let the flame ignite? The windshield wipers left muddy streaks on the windows so I had to haul out the ladder and Windex some of the dust which the rain hadn't washed off!!

All is good now. The propane finally caught (air in the lines I presume), the fridge is happily making ice and cooling Cokes, everything has been put away in their little spaces, including two dozen avocadoes in the shower stall where they can roll about to their heart's content. I'll probably get started around 10am tomorrow. Here's the kicker. Rain is in the forecast. See you guys soon. 8-Dell

Dell - It rained here all day also and it is still coming down!!!!! However, the latest forecast says rain all night and into Saturday morning but he said sun by early to mid afternoon. So come on and bring the sunshine with you.

Barbie - we only invaded Nan's rig the one night that even a fire at the pavilion would not have helped. Tonight, in spite of the rain it was warmer and we went back to the pavilion with just enough dry wood (maybe the only few pieces left in mid FL) for a nice fire.

Not everyone got the word that it would be PJ night but some showed up and a couple of others parked nearby dashed back to rigs to change.

We had our first batch off Soos famous drink tonight which also helped chase the chill away.
Following dinner, we surprised Louise with a birthday cake

Carol and I got a ride back to our rigs around 8:00 with Margie and Roger. The party was still going strong when we left. Nan and Sandy both had vehicles at the pavilion so others will have ride when things calm down for the night. Maybe they will report in later.

BTW: Nan doctored up the left over weird green squash and served it tonight. Much better with a little more seasoning.

The RV is a Vista, I fell in love with the layout and the 1/2 bath it has. I find it easier to drive than the 32 foot class C I had. I don't get as tired driving. This one is 35 feet and I am enjoying it. PM if you have questions be glad to answer anything.

Looks like a great party! Too bad I wasn't there for the PJ party. I even had my Mickey Mouse fleece pants with me down there.

Too bad about the rain. Hopefully it will clear up for a day or so before you all leave.

SO sorry I couldn't be there to enjoy the great times with mom and you all! I will be there hopefully next year or one of the other events. From what mom has been telling me, this has been a great week and a great birthday!

Was just thinking about Belle. Where is she? Thought she was gonna be at this GTG. Did she make it and I missed her? Or is she stuck in a closet somewhere?

Oh Belle...! Where are you...???

Belle was here, saw her once hanging around the drink table, I think. She might be in the group PJ shot, just too small to show up. Also she should show her face on Donna's blog maybe as I think she photographed her.
BTW: Barbie, are you going to post any of your photos from visit here? Would love to see them.

Our last day was without rain and even had some sunshine. It is much warmer, finally. I packed away my little heater tonight - really do not want to see that thing again until next winter.

Several of the ladies went to a winery and buffet today; the rest of us visited and enjoy not having to stay inside. We gathered at my site tonight for our last pot luck and campfire. Sorry, I forgot to get the camera out.

Nan, Dell and I are staying until Monday morning; others are leaving in the morning. I have to change sites….UGH but it was the only way to get an extra night. When we leave here, the 3 of us are heading over to Wickham to meet MissMermaid.

Between car issues and working, I haven't had time to post the photos, but will have time tonight. :D

Glad you got one decent weather day there.

How was Soos's dog Molly doing this week? I have been worried about her. :(

Despite the weather I really enjoyed my first GTG! Thank you everyone for being so friendly and welcoming to Rosie and I. Next time I will be prepared for all the potlucks you guys do! I will make sure and look out for info on next years GTG down in Fl.

Annette, you can always check out the gtg threads, but so many of the pot lucks just sort of spontaneously grow from one evening to another......Many of us are not much for planning too formally but many on here are great cooks and do know how to throw delicious foods together...and the rest of us bring the wine and chips..... It is a great way to gather the chairs.....
