After hunkering down much of yesterday afternoon and most of this morning 3 of us decided to make a run over to Center Hill to RV fabric store. I wanted a mat, Louise was looking for table cloth and Nan needed more sunscreen for her new RV. Beasleys is a tiny place but has a decent selection and very good prices.
Image

We made it out of the fabric shop with enough money for lunch. Found an interesting little family place that has only been open 3 weeks. Plantation House Deli
Image

It is in an older house and so far they only have 3 tables and staff is grandparents, daughter and a 2 or 3 year old.
Image

Nan and Louise had Chicken salad sandwich and bowl of chili; I had the chicken salad sandwich. Salad was home made and very good.
Image

Haven't seen others since returning but will learn about their day at pot luck tonight.

Vickie - forgot to thank you for info on the mystery veggie with thorns. We have one of those strange squash and will be trying it for dinner tonight.

No problem, Sarah. I was curious about it & just Googled images for bright green thorny veg/fruit. Let us know how it tastes!

My avocado tree has dropped two dozen fruit (actually more but the squirrels have put up a good fight getting to them before I do) on the ground. Guacamole anyone? See you Saturday. 8-Dell

I am sitting at the airport waiting to fly back to MN. The flight is almost two hours late so I wont get in until after 1am

The weather in Tampa is supposed to be in the low 80's starting tomorrow thru the weekend so you gals will have a great weekend to get out and explore! Have a great time!

Cathy and I went down to Honeymoon Island to look for shells but it was cold and rainy and tons of seaweed piled up on the beach so couldnt see too many shells but I found few to take back with me. No sand dollars tho :(

Did some more shopping before heading to the airport where I am now sitting and waiting...

First the strange squash report:
Most only ate one small slice or couple of bites but all were somewhat surprised that it was pretty good but needed some seasoning (even Soos who claimed not to like any squash, said it wasn't bad). The flesh is relatively firm and a pale green color.

Still no good shots of the inside of Nan's new rig but as it was still too cold out tonight, we tested it to see how many women could get in with a lot of food.
Heres part of kitchen area covered in food. The greenish food in dish behind water bottle is the squash.

This shot was taken standing in dining area looking back toward living room with L-shaped leather sofa. There is a large screen TV directly behind Donna. The closed door at far end leads to bedroom and master bathroom with largest RV shower I've ever seen.
Image

Believe we ended up with 12 people in there tonight. Lots of good conversation and food.

It is a 2014 Winnebago, 35 feet long and quite roomy, the slide out on the couch, closes up when I bring the slide out in.

The slide includes the dinette also. The couch is "L" shaped and the "L" part is what disappears then the slide goes in, so it is not in the way when closed. Pretty cool! (and the shower could fit 2 people! Just sayin'... )
