Sick of drivng?

I never see this discussed, but just have to know - does anyone besides me get just sick of driving sometimes when you're on the road?

can't say that I actually get sick of driving but I do get tired. I usually try to stop every couple hours to walk around and stretch my legs.
I like to call it a day around 3 or 3:30 and start looking for a place to land.

I'm not sure if you mean sick of driving on certain days or sick of driving multiple days. I know sometimes we just go a few hours from where we left that morning, no need to hurry along unless you have to be somewhere. If there us no reason to push yourself & you are burnt out driving for days, just stay put for a while wherever you are. We've done that, just to regroup or bad weather or for whatever reason, even no reason at all except that you want to.

Some days I can't wait for the trip to be over and others I just want to drive. Since my occupation is to drive I'm probably not the best example

If I sit too long I just have to get in a vehicle and drive. My longest day was about 800 miles. Woke up in Mesquite NV to City of Industry CA (by LA) to Flagstaff AZ and a good night sleep.

When on vacation though I try to limit it to 300 mile a days. Grandbaby complains after 300 miles

My experience with MH is too limited for a valid comment but I have taken the advise of others on here about trying to limit distance to 300 or less miles per day whenever possible. Have also found out I enjoy trips more when I don't have to be on the move every day.

I do not enjoy driving long distances. Most of our trips are weekends to nearby locations. I do take about 4 trips a year that are one to two weeks. Since I am still working, we have to put in long driving days if we're going out of state. Lucky for me that my sister and I usually travel together and she does most of the driving . . . much better at it than me. Goal is to retire and inch my way through a long trip . . . about two hours driving every couple of days!

I certainly get tired of driving. That is why I tend to drive only about 200 miles in a day and then rest someplace for a day or two and do some sightseeing before driving another chunk again.

Since I am retired and full-timing, I can afford to take as long as I want to get someplace. I tend to plan out big loops around the country, and then I can take it more leisurely. Some times I drive 100-200 miles and stay somewhere for as long as a week or more.

If I had to push myself to drive a lot because I had limited vacation time, I would get really burned out fast.

The only time that driving was a bore and I wanted the trip over, was when I HAD to travel interstates and was on a time limit . I try never to put myself on any time limit now and I thoroughly enjoy each trip. I've always enjoyed traveling as a passenger or driving, I just love being out on the road. So my answer has to be no , I do not get tired of driving, I don't drive long days and Maggie and I, need to stop every couple of hours for a potty stop, we're both old I think its up to each person as to how they enjoy their trips, do what makes you happy, not wear yourself out. Just enjoy !!!!

I can see that not being on a schedule is the trick to not getting sick of driving. I've made tne trip to Southeast Mexico or Central America under time pressure so many times (by car) that I'm really looking forward to "just travelin'"!

When I started out I drove way too much - was still thinking and acting in vacation mode where I had limited time. I almost quit rving until I realized I didn't have to do that. That's when I quit making reservations; I started making a general plan; I let most of my trip be jello plans; and I've been a happy driver ever since.

BTW, my jello plans have gone so far as me stopping about 20 miles from where I headed out because I liked what looked like a good hiking area - so there is NO limit on distance for me. If I want to drive further, I can - but I plan, even when heading to workamping positions, to give myself way more time than needed and stop and smell the roses anywhere I want.

I only do 200 miles a day then rest and if I need to stay another day I do... when I come to FL I stay in one place... that is mainly because of gas prices and rv parks can be expensive...
I used to drive school bus in fact did till I was 68... before that I drove in 5 states working for Olan mills Church division... I got very tired of driving then because I never saw my home I was paying for... stayed in more motels that I could count!
Short days are the best to get rejuvenated...
